Can you imagine privately battling the things Norm was while doing the final stand-up on the final show of one of his all-time heroes? Norm was one of a kind, and this not only proves how funny he is, but how strong as well

And the bit he did about Germany was honestly one of the all time great bits in comedy history. Just pure genius. I love that he did that bit in the final standup spot ever on Letterman. Just goes to show after all the hilarious things Norm has ever said, he was just as funny if not funnier in his oldest age as he was when he was technically “in his prime.”

Underrated? About 6 months to a year before all hell broke loose I saw Norm, Spade, and Dennis Miller together in a show. At the end they all came out for a Q&A. Every single question was for Norm. However, while at least a hundred people lined up, a quarter of them sat down after the first person asked where he got his ideas.
