i don’t think i’m alone in saying as fun as this franchise was, it would go a long way next year to pick a worse team and speed through the first couple years a lot faster to really emphasize the importance of the draft classes
I was beyond thrilled to hear Brian Kovalenko's name again. He might be THE most obscure guy I've latched on to in eight years of watching Cane, and I was sure he would be lost to time.
FINALLY been waiting for this. But tbh next year i hope you do more mlb, the franchise rebuilds are so much more interesting than the NFL/CFB but thats just me perhaps.
The plan is to let a new series get much of the channel attention when the new game drops. Cardinals always had another series fighting for attention. There are some things I will be doing differently.
@@MrHurriicaneLP NP man, tbh the way you structure and commentate rebuilds no matter the game always has me enveloped. I just love baseball and want to see more of an emphasis on it especially as the season ends and I'm watching a painfully boring offseason (as of yet). PS: would be interesting to see you rebuild a team on the cusp of a chip (like the yanks or guards) and focus more on the development of their dominance rather than tryin to build a team from the ground up like the (rocks, A's and cardinals) but u do you i've loved it all to this point
Gorman had the numbers He might have pulled an ARoid, and the sportswriters didn't vote him in. Who knows? Great series Cane. Can't wait for the next baseball series. Maybe my Yanks next? I know the answer is no, but if you don't ask, you don't get.
Great series Cane! I’m happy this got a good send off unlike the Rockies series! Can’t believe some of our stars like Aaron Don and Nolan Gorman didn’t make the hall of fame. Overall, I think the series would benefit from a truly horrible team that you would have to build from foundation from the draft like the white Sox. Excited to see next year series, still waiting on the Victor Scott walk off home run and another year of having Dylan Carlson!
Great series Cane! Thanks for the content. Bummed Gorman didn't make HoF. But was pumped Victor Scott had a good career elsewhere. He was always a lowkey/underdog favorite of mine. Loved how quick he was and how he was always a guaranteed steal. Also a great way to end! Team is back on the up. Looking forward to the next one!
in my opinion, you gotta go back to what worked with the Athletics series. You have had a history going from American to National and back, now it’s the Americans turn. I think it’s time you rebuild the Chicago White Sox.
Man Gorman got robbed also should have Jordan walker retired as well and got in the hall. This was a great series and im glad you experimented in how to go about it later on in the series with the faster paced stuff getting though a bit more of the season quicker. Cant wait for the Show Series next year when the next game drops. I hope for a Nationals choice but since you just did a NL team i can understand a AL terrible team as the next one.
I think the retool concept was a nice break from the worst to first framework almost everyone goes with. I wouldn't do it every time, but it was still a fun ride
Gorman shoud have definately made the Hall of Fame. The only other players with 500+ career home runs and 3 MVP's are Barry Bonds, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Mickey Mantle, and Jimmie Foxx. 525 home runs would put him at 20th all time, right under Mantle and Foxx. Maybe the game uses WAR to determine which players go to the HoF and since Gorman was a DH for most of the series he probably didn't accumulate enough WAR over the long term sim.
sources saying Gorman was juicing!!! No HOF for him. But in seriousness, loved this series, and cannot wait to see the next one now that you have seemingly mastered how to progress thru The Show
Gotta do the white Sox next year. And you gotta just focus on drafting for like the first 3 or 4 years or longer. And skip everything else about the years. While this series was great the draft classes didn’t have many moments to shine. Overall after thinking about it. I think this series had more “moments” and incredible but the A’s one was more enjoyable overall.
Gorman was robbed! Lol I love that dylan carlson has his place now in channel lore. Hes a GOAT in my Pirates frnachise. Good series. Next season im ready for a hard one. And i want like 10 years of full control minimum or i riot! Lol
For next year's MLB Series, you should take over the mariners. I think the mariners would be fun for you to take over, because they've never won anything, have a decent farm system and pitching staff, and a glaring weakness on Offense that you can focus your resources on despite a franchise player in JRod that you can hang your hat on. They're really a blank slate on the cusp of something special.
They are just too close. We need a white Sox or tigers. I know the tigers did well at the end of the season irl but they don't have a great budget and the show will have them at much lower overalls than ppl expect. ... also detroit is not an easy park to hit at.
@RobertMessenger91 I'd like those suggestions too. I just think the story of taking a franchise who's only ever won 2 series in its existence to a world series would be great to see
The better question is...do you grow facial hair I've been watching you like a decade and the times I've seen your face; not even a 5 o'clock shadow lo. Wish you played this out even longer but I get cutting it around now as we ramp up to MLB the Show 25. They really need to make it so players retire sooner than just rotting in free agency, MLBTS HOF makes no sense
Hurriicane if ur into hockey at all I would suggest NHL franchise mode. It's the best and most realistic GM mode of all the sports games imo. I will say it's probably not the best game to put on ur channel tho cuz the CPU's r sooooo bad so it's actually challenging to watch them😅. Otherwise the mode specific stuff is phenominal.

The rebuild's rebuild went surprisingly well.

The MLB franchise rebuilds are definitely more interesting

Amazing rebuild, thanks as always Cane. Gorman not getting into the HOF is an absolute crime. Pick my guardians next!
5 years is so short though.
Way too short. Honestly, other than the drafts, the first two years should be almost entirely skipped imo
Yeah and he said next year will be even shorter lol.
He said he wants to get back to more challenging rebuilds.
@@Pointmeatthesky124he always say he will and he never does. Its kinda just a cane quirk🤣🤣

Been following since day 1 Cane. Absolute great series. We really appreciate all the hard work you put into these.
Thanks for the great series Cane! I always look forward to watching all your series after I get off work in the morning
Thank you for another great baseball series, Cane!

Finally... So glad you got back into doing madden franchise on this channel. I prefer this presentation over your main channel
Okay, that ending was quite poetic
Thank you for the great series ❤
I would love to see you try your hand at NHL. Great series Cane. Next year should be great.

The baseball series are the only thing keeping me watching this channel bro dont do less 😂

Do the white Sox next year. You have to rebuild one of the worst teams of all time
OOTP next Cane?? Would be perfect for your style with its depth and storytelling

I didn't follow this series, but I'm glad it did end with a World Series championship. It was devastating that the Rockies never got it done.

random stat to think about: the st louis cardinals(in this series) never won a wild card series(including the long term sim)
Baseball🎉
Road to the show?
Norris Sullivan looks like Keegan-Michael Key
Nolan Gorman waited too long to retire. Everyone forgot about him.
Nationals next
Gorman was robbed! Lol
I love that dylan carlson has his place now in channel lore.
Hes a GOAT in my Pirates frnachise.
Good series.

Please rebuild the White Sox next year. They need your help! ⚾️

I would hope Cane picks a team like the Angels or Rockies just to see what happens
Sad to see the end of the Cards. CHS or NYM next?
Next rebuild use the Pittsburgh pirates
Tink Hence had the Alec Manoah Career arc, so sad!
Oof and yea that’s a pretty good comparison.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Red Sox for 2025
Please
