You know, come to think of it, Volo actually kinda broke the rules a bit. He has a full team of six AND a Giratina which technically makes him able to use SEVEN Pokémon. Most people at the Giratina battle very likely had majority of their parties very hurt/fainted from the first part of battle with Volos while doing the play through for the first time.
And of course, this would definitely be a nightmare for those that are trying to do a Nuzlocke playthrough if they come unprepared
It's more like it's 8 pokemon, with two of those being Giratina, because It heals to full health after the first phase is beaten. so volo is the first to use just a 7 pokemon team(unless we count ghetsis in bw2) and he is the first to use an 8 pokemon team

It isn’t counted as one continuous Trainer battle, so is legitimate in the most literal sense, but nobody’s pulled something this low since Greevil from Gale of Darkness, who doesn’t directly control XD-001 but has enough power over it to make Lugia throw hands. He then denies healing between Lugia and the proper 6v6 fight and follows up with a team consisting of all three of Kanto’s winged mirages + three of the best Mons from Gen 1 OU, and you are required to catch Lugia at minimum iirc with the objective being to catch all seven.
He also summons a weather that does Sandstorm chip to all your Pokémon by default, unless you brought your own Shadow Pokémon.
I was like "people are saying Volo is hard? I beat him on my second try, even if I have only two Pokémon left!"
And then he dropped Giratina on me, causing me to spend all my turns using up my Revives in a panic, before I gave up, realized why people say he's hard, and decided I needed to level grind.

Giratina has been buffed like crazy since the game they debuted in.
Have to hand it to Volo and Giratina. They sparked a giant conflict in Hisui with Dialga and Palkia to put curtains over their world-ending scheme. Volo has even manipulated us into bringing all but one of the plates at the summit. These three themes were absolutely well in showing the true danger you walked into.
Anyone realize Volo is basically the closest Pokemon has ever gotten to the Antichrist

I really hope the next Legends game takes things up a notch; more trainer battles, more special-feeling legendary encounters, and even more cool ways to interact with pokemon outside of battle and the dumb camp systems we've had for the past few games. (plus improved graphics wouldn't hurt too...)

I don’t like trainer battle in legends. Revenge killer are so strong and I don’t like the feeling. Just few fights with 1vs3 is enough for me, combat vs big pokemon alone are very cool
Not the regular trainer battles but optional trainer battles. Unlike PL:A and the traditional trainer battles, there are random trainers who are scattered in the map. But instead they challenge you, you challenge them.
this is so sick, I love how you included even the normal sinnoh legendary battle theme and mixed it like in the game with giratina's.
It’s all part of the fake out: ‘Oh we’re against Giratina. Kinda sucks that it’s not his theme, or that he’s not in Origin Forme’. Then then he switches forme as a metal-esque remix of his theme begins. It gives you that ‘OH SH!T!’ moment that so many games lack nowadays (through gameplay I mean).

The first game I ever played by myself was Platinum. I loved Giratina then but I never really considered it to be one of my absolute favorites. Fast forward a little over a decade, and after Volo pulled out his ace in the hole, THE LITERAL ANTITHESIS OF GOD, Giratina has taken it's rightful place as my favorite legendary and second favorite Pokemon, only topped by Torterra.

I have played Emerald. In fact, it's funny that you mentioned it, because I planned on doing an Mono Water run of it. Really, the only games I haven't played are Red and Blue, Gold and Silver and Sun and Moon. So you don't have to go over enthusiastic salesman on me, I know that it's good.

Giratina’s theme is chaotic normally, but this remix adds a whole new layer of chaos to it, and I love it
Giratina is my favorite Legendary Ghost type Pokemon because its design is badass and really cool,
I've listened to this four times now and I'll listen to it a bunch more.
if you listen carefully at 1:37 you can hear the sound of a thousand agonised screams of everyone on their first playthrough
Nothing felt worse when you finally beat it and then realized it had a second phase

I lost to Giratina three times, before going back to grind for levels. Even then, my Goodra barely defeated it.
As we should have given how much of a beast Giratina is!
The first time I made it to Giratina, yeah I got destroyed, but that was after several attempts where Volo yeeted me off Mount Coronet dkfidlwmkfkskdjdksjs
Very glad Giratina has been elevated to superboss status, it’s very much deserved considering the lore
I got destroyed in stages lol at first didn't expect giratina then next 3 or so battles volo destroyed me and then I encountered giratina stage 2 and got destroyed again
I only managed to win first try thanks to packing two tanky mons and a bag full of max revives (a lot of which I'm pretty sure I had bought off of Volo...)
i love how so many people tried to distespect giratina in this battle. if you watch any youtuber vs giratina video youll most likely see them use a strong style move to finish off giratina altered, giving it an advantage when it transforms into its origin form
They haven't forgotten about the minor legendary theme I'm so happy. It's my favorite legendary theme personally and you improved it even more

best Pokemon. A Pokemon so strong and Evil Arceus himself had to banish him into another Dimension which he perfectly adapted to to Rule it as an Emperor. Pokemon Platin was my first Pokemon Game and it is to this Day by milenials the best Pokemon Game

Vetrom, I would just like to say that your soul videos have caused me to feel all the emotions associated with those feelings, and I mean ALL of them. All of them, except for one. I mean this in the kindest way possible, but I really think you should redo the green soul representing “kindness” for me it feels, just off. Which is strange because all of them feel exactly like the emotion. Patience feels calm, yet also curious and also with slight feelings of naivety sprinkled here and there, then with bravery it feels like your running through a dark empty wooded place with absolutely no dark fearful thoughts. It feels like you can do anything without looking back; and integrity feels like someone sticking to something they embedded into themselves long ago, dancing to there tune happily, then perseverance sounds persistent. But not like determination, it feels like hard work. And feelings of figuring out things about something and using the best strategy to beat this evil even if you lost multiple times- THEN- kindness. It feels dark. It feels cold, and scary. Which is strange because to be I feel like kindness to me would be cheerfulness + awareness + sometimes bossiness as a way to control the hate. I’m not saying I hate it it’s just it would be lovely if you tried tweaking the song in such a manner that feels more representative on this emotion. It could start happily, then suddenly turn kind of low. Like the feeling that you get when you learn about something bad that someone did to you, then it rebuilds itself and becomes cheery once again. To be kind also means to never give up, even when the entire world is a jerk to you the entire day it’s important for you to be kind. Even if nobody appreciates you, it’s important to be kind.

I want to know what most people like more the final N fight and ghetis in pokemon black and white or the volo and giratina fight? Im geniunely curious but if i had to pick one it would be the volo and giratina fight due to the amazing musical score and special effects

They made Ghetsis first. I think Ghetsis is more evil still.

Those doing nuzlockes in PLA, I wish you luck on the last battle because Girantina would destroy you and Volo. Why? 1, Volo has Cynthia’s and if you dont know Cynthia then I pray that you eont get PTSD afterwards. 2, he has 8 pokemon. I know its seven but Girantina has 2 forms so its 8 pokemon. Plus, without over leveling and good strategy, youre just dead. Some way is to Heal Stall using
Creselia but if you locked yourself with potions,get ready some fucking tanky pokemon, a full team of 6 cause youll need it
