Hunger have really dealt with people's mentality. A woman who has her own money would be insulted with transport fare. Relationship is a two way street.
What these girls don't get is that dating is meant to be "mutual". If he asks you out and you feel something for him, then you go out with him because you want to, not because you are doing him a favour.
If you don't feel something for him, then don't agree to go out with him. Simple.

If you're a forward thinking lady, you should be able to decide the type of relationship you want with a man just by texting or talking over the phone, this would help you decide whether you'd want to hangout with him or not. If you haven't decided that yet, then going to see a man outside picking a stand on your relationship (friendship, business, romantic relationship...) with him and having the funny mindset of him paying your transportation fare, and other expenses, because of whatever reason you think you have is simply extortion, foolishness, demeaning, et cetera.

This is very simple.. Go on dates with people you think are interested in spending time with you.. With that, both parties will make time and effort to show up no matter the circumstance without complaining. Instances where you think you don't have money to pay for your transport, talk it over with the other party and if they offer to Willingly pay that's cool but it shouldn't be mandatory. You are not entitled to nobody's money.. Also there is nothing wrong with declining a date if you think it's not worth the trouble.
