US Army veteran, thanks for the reaction. The USA medical system has huge problems with dealing with mental illness. Our society as a whole is bad at it, but awareness is getting better.

It's not easy to explain. I'm ex army and volunteered for recon. In infantry the highest level you can reach is reconnaissance. The level of trust becomes very high in a team if your life depends on it. Got your six. Not just some meaningless words. You got my back and I got your back. And this is taken very seriously. You depend on your teammates like a family. If you f*ck up, your mates will tell you and that's okay. We all have have to and will speak up, to build a great team on a high level where you help each other to excel to just stay alive.
Civilian life is very different. People will smile at you all day and talk crap about a small mistake behind your back to a manager. To get a positive review at the end of the year and a raise. It's like 2 different worlds. Army service is life changing. Once a soldier, always a soldier. You can't go back. In moral, principles, attitude. It's a way of life. After 20 years I still struggle with civilian jobs because who I am.
I think a lot of vets come back and are a completely different person after a mission. How they end up on the street homeless. They are not homeless before the mission. They are in relationships/married before but come back a different person, with maybe ptsd. Conflicts start and a break up, maybe loose their job. I think this is how they end up on the street.
Soldiers will not easily admit they need mental help. It's like showing weakness. It's actually not. Get help. You will learn some important lessons about life and can share your experience and help others.

As someone who served time in the US armed forces I deeply connect with this song/video. Seeing your genuine reaction to this and No Bullets Fly has made a subscriber out of me. I can’t watch either of this videos without bursting into tears. There is no shame in crying. I’ve seen both more than 20 times and in some cases watched one multiple times and will still bawl my eyes out. It shows you care and my hat is off to the both of you.

As a U.S. Army veteran I thank you for reacting to this powerful video. I suggest you also react to their song Gone Away. What makes this even sadder is those statistics are seven years old and the numbers have increased. The video says a veteran commits suicide every two hours. It's now approximately every hour.

You fight is to stay alive in war, you fight your injuries, you fight your government for help, you fight for your family and a job. You fight for identity, purpose and belonging. People need to ask questions, people can change government. Government pull funding from veteran orginisations. From a Veteran thank you for reacting to this.

This song is so hard for me to watch, but people need to know we are failing our veterans. My nephew joined the Marines when he was 18 years old. He was so proud to serve his country. When he came home from his 5th deployment overseas we got the call that he had taken his own life. He was 25 years old.

Great song/video. My Brother was 20 years in Marine Corps. Served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gunnery Sergeant, retired. He lost more men to suicide than he did in combat. Thank you. I still feel we are the greatest country. Our Veterans are failed. Private groups raise money for them. Can you imagine killing people for a living then you're suddenly thrust into civilian life. Very tough to transition. Leads to alcohol and drugs unfortunately.

A song that makes you think again, after Rammstein's time.I hope you also make my other suggestions ;-) Please remember that these suggestions are emotional songs and therefore a bit different from what the individual bands mainly produce ;-)
By the way, I find it much more exciting if you don't know what kind of song or what kind of style is coming your way. That's what makes a really good reaction ;-) THANK YOU

To answer your question of why the government doesn't help Vets?
The best answer I can give you is that, the US Government simply doesn't care. It loves to say it cares about the soldiers, but it never puts any action behind the words.
All of it's military spending goes into new equipment, funding for more guns and such, but very, very little of it goes to helping Soldiers during service or Veteran's when they're out of Service.
It's usually the job of non-profit groups (like those in that long list) that have to do the Government's job instead, which is why you'll see a lot of US Vet's love the country, but more or less hate the Government. (To varying degree's) But I haven't met a Vet that's happy with the Government yet, so I can't say if that side exists or not.
Those Numbers have gotten a lot worse since the song came out sadly.

Problem is a modern society. When soldiers go to war many people see them as a mercenaries, as killer and not as a human but they know nothing about the reasons why they go there. Many soldiers go because they have their family and friends in their mind. They go to war because they do not want war to be close to those they love. Many people in TV or on internet see many things like de.d civilians after air strike but during war like in Afghanistan or Mali or even in Africa there are many things what soldiers do for local people. They give food, they care about wounded people. In Afghanistan or Africa is many situations where you help someone one day and next day same person will shoot on you. Your only mental stability is with your family or with your brothers in arms but when you are on tour you are many months far from home it is a really hard for soldier when he finally return home and his wife broke with him because he isn't at home much but there is still his friends in army but when is he retained from army he lose everything what have mean for his life. His family left him and his country don't want him. After many years of this is much harder find a job in civil life. In civil life you have no qualification for anything by eyes of person who never been in your position.

I don't know what to say...as I had two siblings that served, one in the Air Force in Germany, where he served as a Medical Tech in a ward where Air Force Veterans and Soldiers got help for mental problems....he mainly worked with PTSD patients. My older sibling was an Army Officer, who served in many places during his 20+ years in the Army.
Taking care of our Veterans should beat the top of our governments list....but it's not!

"Ivan speaks of God as a woman and the Devil as a man, which might seem odd to some because most think of God as a male figure. In many interviews, he has stated that he believes a being that can be ultimately calm about a situation and then destroy entire cities in a split second has to be a woman."
    Taken from an old article.
Essentially the whole, Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned.
How you interpret it is completely up to you, but it's a great song with a meaningful message.
Also as for the, Wrong Side of Heaven, but the Righteous Side of Hell basically means because he is a warrior, a soldier, he has to kill others to protect his homeland, hearth and kinsmen wether it's in self-defense or not, killing is against God's Will.

800 billion dollar military budget, but don't have enough money to take care of the soldiers returning from war. You see commercials on tv all the time about organizations you can donate to, but that's what taxes are supposed to go towards in the first place. How about you take 10-20 billion from the budget and help them out instead. It's ridiculous

I enlisted in the US Army 6 weeks after 9/11, deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan, sustained combat throughout each tour, and in fact the stats in this video are about 6yrs old, today those numbers are actually higher, especially the number of homeless vets on the streets...I've had to attend 4 funerals for my brothers in uniform who took their own lives in the years since we returned stateside...but I've met a few who've had to go to 9 or 10 funerals for that exact same reason...now with this fentanyl bullsh*t comin up thru our border from that dump mexico, the numbers of addicted vets is skyrocketing...so is the number of deaths from overdosing on fentanyl...how we're being treated and ignored by the gov't who sent us overseas to fight, especially the last couple years, is sickening and pathetic...🤘🏻🇺🇸
