hi "Scott". You did a very beautiful work. Good job ! looks stunning and maybe will be one of the next colors of upcoming ST. A question ..wwhich license-plate holder is this. do you have an link for me. Thx and hafve fun with this beauty!
Very nice. I'm going to get one of these for spring, and considering a custom colour. Did you choose this colour after the RR was announced? I like that you've restored the original decals, keeping it looking 'stock'. Did you clear coat / lacquer over the RS decals?
No, did not even know about the RR at the time. Was painted a few months ago. But after seeing the RR it's looks (on camera) similar colour. I two pack clear coated everything, then sanded it down and applied the decals, and cleared over. Then sanded back down again, and gave another lot of clearing...
Thanks. I took hi-res photo's and edited them in Photoshop at 300DPI. Printed and cut out to lay against the originals until they were the same. Then had them printed in adhesive vinyl
@@jasonleverton3656 What can I tell you, I'm a spray painter by trade, but don't work in the industry. But do a lot of "week-end" work. You can check my FB page here facebook.com/RestoredByScott/ It's common practice to paint over decals, so not a real big issue, comes down to prep work.
Also, where did you get the carbon fiber foot guards? I always thought the bike looked a bit underdone with the only carbon fiber being the front fender. I put carbon fiber lookalike tank protecters all the way from the front to the rear of the tank to protect it against my tank bag. I thought if putting a couple more sections on the tail to complete the look, but I haven't done that yet.
Cheers mate I didn't buy thos parts, they are the originals. I preped them, then painted in a base coat (Grey gold mixture) then Hydro dipped them in Carbon film.. Finished off in Two pac clear...

Hello very nice bike
I have a question, is the mono cover (back cover) original carbon or coating?
It's hydro dipped in carbon print.
Then two pack cleared
