I follow several "vanlife" channels, and yours, by far, is the most informative. Thanks again for making me aware of something that will genuinely improve my outdoor living.
Great solar panel !! I have a rockpal 100-watt briefcase and a dokio 110 watt briefcase but with no cheap effective way to place the panels as they have no legs nor did they come with a stand....
Hey Jay! Yeah, I think I have that Rockpals panel too. It’s surprisingly inefficient given that it’s just a few years old! It’s amazing how fast the solar technology has improved in the last few years.
Hey Angela! Thanks for the suggestions! I’m glad you like my music! I’d like to incorporate more of my music in my channel, just not sure how to go about it yet. 🤔
Purchased! Thanks for the review and for the code. Just trying to stay ahead of the game for hurricane season. I have several power stations, but only one portable solar panel. Have you ever tried putting this in your front window when you are parked to see if it works from the inside as well? If so, does it work?
@@jayburke1601 I was thinking more of an overnight situation where one is not wanting to leave the panel out so it doesn't get stolen, but is able to catch the first morning rays of light to charge without having to get up to do it. Then once up and about, the panel goes back outside.
Hey Marilyn! I usually use it on my roof, and put the battery inside. That seems to work pretty well. The bad thing with extensions is it lowers your wattage a bit- but so does putting the panel flat on the roof. 🤷♀️
@@minivancampergal1554 thank you for your response. I guess if you wanted to use it away from the van, you would need to shade the power station somehow.
Hey, I am searching for a good panel and that lead me to your recommendation. Is this panel good enough for charging my laptop, smartphone, portable fridge and USB van? I want to travel and work a little bit from everywhere. Which powerstation do I need then? Hope to get some answers, I'm new to that things. Thanks in advance! =)
Hello! Well, it's all very location dependent. Meaning, if you have super bright sun, and you move the panel every hour, then you might get 80 watts or so. My computer takes about 40 watts, and my fridge takes about 40, so best case scenario, you'd break even with those two. Worst case scenario, like I'm facing this minute, is it's raining, and I haven't gotten more than 10 watts of solar all day. But that's why you have a battery. If you have room, I say get the biggest battery possible, and go for LiPoFe-4. They don't catch on fire as easily as lithium ion in the heat. You might consider putting solar panels permanently on your roof. If my home base wasn't in such a hot place, this is what I'd do.
@@minivancampergal1554 Thank you so much! That helps me a lot! :) I would go with this one: BLUETTI EB3A 600W Solar Generator LiFePO4 Battery plus a 200 W Solarpanel. I hope it's enough though. I thought about a permanent Solarpanel on the roof, but then I can't use the roof as storage or something.

Oh wow, thanks so much. Sometimes I worry if I’m going in the right direction. I really appreciate your comment!
Excellent review! Loved the down + dirty specs with the Voltmeter! I have several solar panels, but I really do like this smaller footprint 👍
Thanks Lisa! Yeah, I was loving my EBL panel because it was just one fold- the ease trumps the space. But now with this one, I get both benefits!
Thanks for the review, very clear and to the point.👍
Thanks Lynne!

This was a great review, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Lainey!
looks like an awesome panel! I would love to see some content on your PNW trip, oh, and more music please!

The problem with trying to charge inside your van on a hot sunny day it can get so hot inside your van it actually drains your battery
Hey Alis! Awesome, I’m glad you found my review helpful. No, I haven’t tried my windshield yet- I’ll have to let you know!

Oh. I've relocated and you have just made me realize that I can try solar now. I have a balcony and it is getting a lot of sunshine.
Hey Angelina! Yeah, give it a try - free power!
Great review!! ❤
Thank you!
Great video, thanks for the info. on solar panel!!!!
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful!
ME FIRST hiya Kelly : ) Great video as usual
Woohoo, thanks Marion!
Me gustó el panel!!!! Lo venderá Amazon aquí en México?.... saludos desde Chihuahua
There is a version of Amazon for purchasing from Mexico. I don’t know much about it.
Hola Daniel! Lo siento, no se! Gracias por ver! Estoy trabajando en hacer un channel de español.
@@minivancampergal1554 estaría genial amiga.... saludos
Will it work hanging it up long ways?
As long as the angle to the sun is correct it will work
Yes, I usually lay it flat on my roof
The cords look short. Do you use some type of extension?

Ok, broke down and ordered one!!
Do you find the length of the wires adequate
Hi Jan! Well, I'd say they're about ... 3 feet long? So, I usually put the battery behind the panel in the shade it creates.
