Hi' Glacierblues! Thank you so much for posting this vid! Im a student at University of Copenhagen studying the Cold War - so awesome to see the DEW-line DYE from the inside! Really awesome footage! God - most have been so cool to explore. Would love to go there - hopefully before its buried in the snow. Sorry to see how trashed the place has become over the years! Hope u had a great trip across. :-)
Sejer Uglen Heya Sejer ...it was quite a unique experience indeed, I was amazed how big it was too as it just kept getting bigger and bigger the closer we came. Very cool to explore with my head torch on and wandering through the different floors, dark hall ways, storage rooms and everything. Some more photos can be found at my blog if you are interested too. - glacierblues.com/a-piece-of-history/
Hi I'm an archive researcher working on a Discovery Channel docu-series (yet to air) called Secrets in the Ice. The show looks at what is being revealed as the ice melts and permafrost thaws. One of our episodes focuses on The Dew Radar Station and I discovered this video. We would love to include them in our series. I can be reached at Kristen@sharfkteethfilms.com Best Kristen
