While I don't disagree with the Lucy Templar twist being questionable, AC: Brotherhood was released 3 years before Frozen, so I doubt her "getting popular" had anything to do with it. By all accounts, the Lucy Twist came after Assassin's Creed 2 was a hit, and Ubisoft decided to extend the series beyond their original intended ending, which would have seen Lucy and Desmond survive the cataclysm together.
Ubisoft in general ruined AC. They got rid of Patrice who was a major factor in why the first games did so great and turned them into what we know now. Overcharging for special editions then releasing them half off a month later. Ubisoft has ruined the series and I hate that one of my beloved gaming series has become this thing that's not even what it used to be

It´s not perfect by any means, but after games like Valhalla it really felt like someone did have the oldschool fans in mind when making it. With lowered price, no discusting monetization bullshit and actual fan oriented post-launch support (parkour mode implemented etc) it was definitely a step in right direction.
There was a video of Nolan north talking about how there was plans for desmond to continue on through the series and being upset that ubisoft eventually changed to just kill him off instead
I heard that Desmonds VA said that Desmond will learn from Ezio and Altair and be the ultimate Assassin ever.... like damn! Thats awesome! And then it didnt happen 😑
After ACIII everything went down. Story was hilarious, Present Story naaahh, the open world just full with outposts to clear for no reason, that fckn fantasy magic thing in the rpg games doesnt fit at all... And lets not talk about shadows. Just let it die with a little dignity
Them not patching out the online activation to use DLCs is a huge betrayal. Also tying the Animus control panel to the launcher rather than an in game menu for Origins is messed up. They keep making these single player sections of the game require a separate online component that that phase out later is infuriating.
Problem with Juno is that she got built up in AC4 and Unity, her story was getting bigger and bigger. Ubisoft fumbled that one, like Cortana's story in Halo 5 being concluding in a book offscreen, instead of a medium we were all familiar with.
I remember being excited about Assassin's Creed 3 prior to its launch, only to be left disappointed with its departure from what made Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed, trading parkour and stealth for action and exploration. Odyssey and Valhalla did the same thing but also added RPG and mythology, both unnecessarily, I might add
Ubisoft's decision now for seperate modern day storyline from all other games that are set in some historical setting instead creating much more arc in modern day setting like they used to be is the most foolish decision when in valhalla they had set up a perfect arc for modern world things to move forward. Deeply disappointed by the Ubi decision.
About the missing sequences in AC2, you DO know they've LEGIT made a video not long before the game's launch explaining the issues they were having with them which forced them to temporary remove them and then releasing them as DLC, right? THAT'S why they've remade that scene after sequence 11 to explain the Animus got corrupted during the process of loading both sequences In all future re-releases of AC2, like in the Ezio trilogy pack and also on PC, they've not only restored those 2 sequences but also the original pre-sequence 12 transition scene
Yeah they betrayed their fans ever since those idiots thought it was a good idea to try to make it into an RPG when Assassin's Creed was never meant to fit that mold. At ALL. IN ANY WAY.
betrayed is a very strong word for my displeasure yes 10 times ac betrayed us fans yet im still a fan of them becasue a. i do not care if it betrayed us plus im one to stay true to that franchise and continue to play them no matter what today's audince decides to say about these games or even ubi themselfs now a days
Assassins Creed started and ended with Desmond Miles as far as I’m concerned. With AC Unity, Black Flag, Rogue and origins alongside maybe a part of Syndicate being just nice little side story’s… I actually plan on writing my own fanfiction ending for the series since Ubisoft absolutely REFUSES TO LET IT DIE!!! It’s a travesty what Ubisoft did to their game series… including Far Cry. The greed is just unbelievable.
What we need is not only a finished product but also a modern day AC game set in our current time, imagine all the amazing and beautiful locations you could go to,being able to use weapons like guns (AR,SMG etc) bow and arrows etc, like having a huge amount of different weapons would be amazing, and stealth could be even better using shadows or even cloaking devices would be great and to increase difficulties have enemies wear night vision goggles or infrared goggles would be dope too,so much potential in our current time for an AC game, but nope we keep getting games based of the past which is ok but man after all the releases of past times it's time we got a current time version of AC,or am I wrong?,lmk lol
When I got both unity and rouge, luckily I decided to play rogue first since rogue ending was unity beginning since I was not aware unity had so many bugs until I heard about it
Oh yeah. Valhalla is a perfect example. They promised that NG+ would be among the last things they did for the game. Did it happen, no. Forget the bull crap reason they gave us. The real reason was that it simply became too much work. It would've been way too much work for them to implement a NG+ by the time Valhalla ended. What they should have done was either included NG+ with the game at launch or within the month of lauch via update. We would've had NG+ and that would've FORCED them to make future content around the NG+. Stupid Ubisoft.
Maybe not biggest betrayal, but the end of AC for me was finally finishing Valhalla, realizing I hadn't actually had fun for the last 60 hours and it didn't even roll credits. 🖕🏻Ubisoft
I think I'm in the minority when I say I enjoyed Mirage more than any game after Revelations, as for me, it did feel like a step in the right direction. I will say though, I am disappointed that Assassins Creed Shadows isn't on the list. Even though its not out yet, there are so many betrayals in that game so far and we didn't even have to play it to see them
As much as I loved Odyssey, it's way too long. I stopped playing way before I was finished and haven't gone back yet. I have Valhalla, but I never got sind to playing it. I know the character from Odyssey is in it, so I never started since I hadn't finished the other. Also, I'm reluctant to start another 100+ hour game. I did play Mirage for a while but dropped off quickly. That was not the game I was promised, and the controls such. I will not be picking up the new ones.
There's a reason why I completely stopped supporting western games for over a decade now. I see the same trend among my gamers friends circle and I'm grateful.
If Rogue being last gen only is betrayal, Unity being new gen only is betrayal to old gen players. I remember being on xbox360 and sad I couldnt play Unity because it was new gen and as a kid I couldnt get new gen to play ac unity when it came out.
The absence of stealth in Origin complaint is a bit whiny, it's a story take place before the brotherhood and the whole strike from the dark thing was formed, Bayek was not an assassin, he was a Medjay, they gradually abandoned their tactic and switch to a more stealthy approach lore wise. I'm not excusing how ass the stealth mechanics have became in AC, but Origins had a legitimate reason for it.

I'm pissed off that they didn't just continue Desmond into the present day. You ditched the story of the first civilization which was very intriguing. Then muck it up with microtransactions. In the beginning this was very promising series then greed took over. Then you got rid of great storytellers. Such a travesty.
imma stop you at 3:16. Funnily enough you've always been a one man army in AC, i'd even argue that AC origins gives you MORE stealth opportunities than previous entries.
I stopped playing this franchise after Unity. The story just started losing it's direction after they killed off Desmond and the end of Junos' character being put in a cheesy comic book and then Ubisoft trying to make us like that new awful modern character Layla......F**K THAT!
What they did with Juno was awful. I still hope they decide the comic ain't canon and finish her story in a game. She was build up until Syndicate and then was just gone sadly. Also I am one of the few fans who doesn't like the naval gameplay from a 3 till rogue so I kinda felt betrayed by that. (and that is why Black Flag is my least favourite AC game.)
I remember getting the first AC Christmas morning alongside my new PS3, amazing. I also remember playing Odyssey for the first time on PS4, was just as great as I thought the older titles were. Might be in the minority, but I loved the newer games. Bar Valhalla 🤮
Last gen only is a betrayal? I didn't get far in Valhalla and didn't get the DLC. Ubisoft is being pretty scummy. They are becoming the new EA and Activision. I actually liked Origins and I managed to finish the game too. So Mirage just added in the old stuff with the current new stuff? I didn't need an XP store. Unity still has bugs, especially in the co-op missions so I would avoid them. For some reason when I encounter a foe I am unable to swing my sword and my foe would do the same. We just stare at each other. It's really annoying that I have issues getting through mission because the game won't let me attack. In the main game I also got stuck on a ladder and failed a mission because I had to use fast travel to get out. 10:34 Glitches that will haunt your nightmares for years to come. I wish I had that glitch instead of the ones I had.
Rogue - Unity situation proves that PC is the best shift from stealth only exists in heads of idiots hating things for no reason, you can still play stealthily in RPG trilogy, you just have a choice to do it your way and since most of people on this planet are idiots, many people hate that game doesn't hold their hand in everything Lucy's death was forced and happend because Ubisoft didn't want to pay Kristen Bell, but I think it was good for the story, it didn't destroy anything microtransactions in already bought games is a theme that also only idiots cry about - just don't buy them, devs will see it's not working and they will resign from it, the fact that people are so loud in criticizing it added to its popularity as well, so congratulations, you played yourself, you wanted to destroy microtransactions and by your actions you only made them more popular And Desmond isn't 100% dead (someone making this video probably didn't finish Valhalla)
I have an Assassin's Creed wall of hidden blades and replicas, an assassin's symbol tattoo, and here we are a year after Mirage and I'm having to force myself to finish it. Instead of Ubisoft learning and growing they're trying to straddle the line between successes 10-15 years ago and the RPG Origins engine that added so much. Sadly Valhalla was empty and slow but I worry that they'll focus solely on monetization and forget gaming is art first.
@@raymondwijaya9582 I've played all the assassin's creed games my first ever experience with the game was brotherhood on the 360 only ones I haven't played were the DS games and bloodlines I've even played the chronicles trilogy
@@samuelesquivel6202I can’t speak for others, but for me it’s the ship combat, I can tolerate it, but I don’t particularly enjoy it. Didn’t get into a stealth franchise for ship combat.
AC Rogue is definitely better than AC Unity. Better gameplay, much more variety of locations and activities, much more interesting story. Above all you had your own pirate ship like in AC 4 Black Flag. Just in terms of graphics Unity is slightly better but I don't give a fu*k about that!
This list just reeks of fan entitlement and encourages toxic behavior. The assassins creed franchise was trying to do something new when it was doing rpg so it capuls continue being fresh as some fans were complaining that the gameplay that lasted until syndicate was starting to become stale
why are you talking of fans complaining about their product being ruined as if the FANS are abusing ubisoft somehow? if you must use psychology lingo, the blame lies heavier on ubisoft's side.
It almost feel to be betrayed when Ubisoft delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows coming in next year 2025, but I agree why because Mirage came just out, they don't wan't to make it too fast and wan't it for PS5 Pro. But why it still won't come in november 2024 with the same time of the PS5 Pro? Well can't wait i'm so EXCITED to play AC Shadows physical edition for my PS5! 😊

Rogue - Unity situation proves that PC is the best
shift from stealth only exists in heads of idiots hating things for no reason, you can still play stealthily in RPG trilogy, you just have a choice to do it your way and since most of people on this planet are idiots, many people hate that game doesn't hold their hand in everything
Lucy's death was forced and happend because Ubisoft didn't want to pay Kristen Bell, but I think it was good for the story, it didn't destroy anything
microtransactions in already bought games is a theme that also only idiots cry about - just don't buy them, devs will see it's not working and they will resign from it, the fact that people are so loud in criticizing it added to its popularity as well, so congratulations, you played yourself, you wanted to destroy microtransactions and by your actions you only made them more popular
And Desmond isn't 100% dead (someone making this video probably didn't finish Valhalla)
What about shutting down the multiplayer servers?
Even tho it's all bad on the list, i enjoy assassin's Creed for being different, good, and bad just learn from ur mistakes ubisoft and do better
Ubisoft is not going to learn anything.
The lore makes no sense anymore.
One of the best game series 🔥
Not finishing Valhalla Loki is free and what?
Just 10 times? ha ha with the end of AC 3 everything Ubisoft did Betrayed the fans.
PS: i am happy to see Ubisoft going down.
The whole story behind Juno is just bullshit and not really interesting to me.
Mirage was by far the worst assassin's creed i played
I agree.
Really? How many assassin's Creed have you played?
@@raymondwijaya9582 I've played all the assassin's creed games my first ever experience with the game was brotherhood on the 360 only ones I haven't played were the DS games and bloodlines I've even played the chronicles trilogy
Valhalla is the worst tbh
@@Przemo9050 Compared to Odyssey? Not even the worst.
I LOVE the AC series. I've played all of them...
...after they're on a HUGE sale!🤣🤣
That's the best way 😂
As opposed to other fans?
7:37 this is AC3
10 Times Ubisoft BETRAYED Its Own Fans
Black Flag, Syndicate, and Odyssey got off light
Why black flag?? I havent play it yet, but I heard fans love that game and consider one of the best characters after Ezio..
@@samuelesquivel6202connor is one of the best charecters
@@rezponze-g6e yeah I know he is one of the greatest character, the same thing with Bayek
@@samuelesquivel6202I can’t speak for others, but for me it’s the ship combat, I can tolerate it, but I don’t particularly enjoy it. Didn’t get into a stealth franchise for ship combat.
99% bots⬇️
I'm probably gonna get a little hate for this but I don't like the RPG elements
I didn't play Origins and beyond. I voted with my wallet.
Betray is a bit much
AC Rogue is definitely better than AC Unity. Better gameplay, much more variety of locations and activities, much more interesting story. Above all you had your own pirate ship like in AC 4 Black Flag. Just in terms of graphics Unity is slightly better but I don't give a fu*k about that!
You are funny 😂😂😂
Next video should be Top 10 games was killed by woke devs who hates gamers
Damn, second 😒
I got ac vahalla for 6 dollars
This list just reeks of fan entitlement and encourages toxic behavior. The assassins creed franchise was trying to do something new when it was doing rpg so it capuls continue being fresh as some fans were complaining that the gameplay that lasted until syndicate was starting to become stale
why are you talking of fans complaining about their product being ruined as if the FANS are abusing ubisoft somehow? if you must use psychology lingo, the blame lies heavier on ubisoft's side.
I used to like your videos, saw them form the days of the bvery early intros but what´s that crap about member exclusive videos? What a joke
Bruh
Indeed. Bruh
Orgins and those stupid rpg elements
It almost feel to be betrayed when Ubisoft delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows coming in next year 2025, but I agree why because Mirage came just out, they don't wan't to make it too fast and wan't it for PS5 Pro. But why it still won't come in november 2024 with the same time of the PS5 Pro? Well can't wait i'm so EXCITED to play AC Shadows physical edition for my PS5! 😊
This is why I pirated the ac games
They've Betrayed us like a 100 Other Times Dont Sugarcoat 😂😂
