And just like that, every boater on Lake Erie isn't going to have a clue how to get home this summer....
Stupid.
Volcanic eruptions: hold my beer
I'm gunna miss that plant. Was there almost 22 years.
Always wanted to see inside that plant. (Wanted to work there as well) Was fascinated with it since I was a little kid. I know I’m one of very few sad to see it go. Just the history, the architecture, engineering that went into those old plants was so cool. I heard that plant had a bowling alley for the employees. Now it’s getting wiped off the face of the earth like it never existed. Wish they could have converted it to natural gas or something.
WHY really
@@getjacked1Or even nuclear power. They could’ve transported the smokestacks and put them on top of a newly built bowling alley even. No reason to not be creative now. 🤷🏻♂️😃
@@RealJackHQ I guess your attempt at being a smartass or trying to be funny failed. Because it was neither.
@@getjacked1 Actually it was meant to keep you optimistic. I’m sorry if it came across another way.
Worked there as a contractor for 7 months during an outage years ago, then was sent to River Rouge for another outage, good, honest hard working people at both sites, going to miss the sites and people.
Was down there........ Didn't think they would fall sideways...... Kinda cool to see.......
I remember as a young kid living in Trenton in the 70’s when they were painting the red & white stripes one summer. It took a few weeks to see the progress with the new paint, but it was neat to see.
I was was a kid in the 70s , lived in Trenton till 1980 , when we moved , went to Hedke elementary kindergarten to 5th grade
Forever a skyline changed
No more flashing lights at night, going to miss that ??????
The walleye most certainly aren't going to appreciate that.
Green New Deal?
No, it’s called capitalism. It’s cheaper to build a methane pipeline and run turbines than to ship coal. Good riddance. A green new deal would be turbine free hydro power spinning and generating electricity without burning fossil fuels. All that hydro power flowing past the old McClouth plant and the coal plant without anyone even trying.
More power outages and rate increases from DTE.
Another Downriver landmark bites the dust
Always has to be some wise ass yelling “TIMBERRRRRRRRRR!” 🙄
take a big whiff of the heavy metals
I live so close to it and I was there it was sad because my grandpa used to work there
Bababooey 🤠👋
What… no bag pipes!?! Lame!
NO NOT MY FRIENDS 😭
Nooooooo my besties just exploded!
Hi bestie westie 🌸😫
Easier clean-up that a vertical pile.
DA's going to need that back one day soon.
Crazy was this on purpose
Yes thank obama/biden
Part of the Green New Deal.
@@soulfinder7no, thank the economy. These don’t serve the same purpose they used to and are actually terrible for the environment. We do cheaper things now and don’t need to use very outdated technology like this.
@openendedmedia3307 yea thank the economy. Because the price of coal. O.o you hear yourself?
@@soulfinder7 if you think coal is still a good option, I think the 1800s called and they want their outdated technology back.
There are other things happening that deserves real coverage to be honest.
