Camping in super heavy rain. Our tent was attacked by very heavy rain, causing the camping terrace to flood. We immediately made a bigger ditch so that the water would flow out of the shelter. Heavy rain fell until evening. The camping atmosphere felt very warm, especially when we slept.

I wish you had a digging tool to make deeper ditches based on this much rain. And a larger tent. These would assist in a more dry n comfortable camping experience.
I was thinking the same thing. I have a brand new compact military grade trenching tool that I've never used, Would fit easily in there.
Backpacks I would send it to them if they had a p.o. box.😊

Which place in this world you are belongs? The winter is everywhere, and which part you have facing so much of rain.
Indonesia or Malaysia. If you ever have to operate here as a soldier you learn to keep one set of clothing dry to sleep in. No point trying to keep dry until you go to bed. Luckily you are so tired you sleep through anything and we used to make basha beds off the ground or sling a hammock. The worst thing about this is having to put your wet clothing back on before you go out from under your tarp. It is very warm and humid so when the rain stops you dry off quickly but in the early hours of the morning it can be very chilly. Anyone who has camped in the tropical rainforest will appreciate how tough these guys are doing it; even with the gear they have, Great content.

Love your videos, although it is mildly annoying watching you use a twig and a trowel to slosh water around. Why not cut off a larger tree branch, sharpen one end and use it to scrape out a trench around your entire camp.

I rarely cut trees in the forest because it is prohibited. I prefer to use dead branches that are already there, it's better to create a ditch and keep the water flowing.
