Every era of Japanese stamps has something of interest. Your father managed to collect a pretty good amount of stamps for the time he was most active. Very impressive.
I tend to only collect for topics, but Japan is the only one where I collect for country--they just seem to have some of the most fun and prettiest stamps out there! definitely a few in this collection that I haven't seen before but adore and need to add to my own... thank goodness for the catalogue numbers! As for future showings, I'd be interested in seeing Korea if your father has any. At least for contemporary stamps they have some really nice ones and I think it's a little bit of an underrated country to collect
Absolutely loved the Japanese stamps. Probably my favorite area. In recent years they produce a LOT of stamps, but always colorful and imaginative. We got snow down here, too. Been steady since Thanksgiving, couple inches or so every couple days but most doesn't stay. So, happy holidays!
Hi Rob! I a very impressed with your father's stamp collection. Keeping in mind he was a worldwide collector, the country collections are pretty complete. He also arranged and displayed them very logical and nice. Thanks for sharing his Japanese collection!!!!! I find that the designs and appearance of many Japanese stamps are quite unique and readily recognizable as Japanese. The issued some beautiful stamps. Thank you for mentioning me! Flower stamps are beautiful, and this is not important, but I am rather interested in and love fauna stamps, especially bird stamps, and prefer them above floral stamps. 🙂

Enjoyed the video and your father's album is great. I read one of the comments below and they are producing alot of new ones. Maybe not as much as Canada or the US but more than most countries. Netherlands but I already told you that in another comment. 🇳🇱
