I just want to say thank you so much for being such a reasonable, thoughtful and relaxed reviewer. Your videos are neither unnecessary long nor too short and you’re covering the interesting aspects of the gear you review in a very comprehensible way. And because of this I wanted to say thank you 🙏😉👋!
Thanks for covering L-mount! I got the more affordable I-series version instead to pair with the 65mm, but I've been hoping to get the S-S18 to match with the S-S85.
My s5II is on the way! At the moment I only have Sigma lenses, I hope the autofocus is good to use on the gimbal, at the moment with my S5 I only focus manually and there are certain things I don't trust!
Indoors I use 24mm most of my 24-105. Thinking of 24mm 1.8 for dark days of winter 😀 but worry about sharpness. What do you like that makes it great for you?
I’m looking to buy an s5iix. I’m using the student discount and I can’t decide which bundle. I would mainly be using it for my tech UA-cam channel. The options are the s5iix with the 20-60 and the 50mm for 2200 or get the body only with the 24, 35, and 50 for 2400?
I got the S5iiX, 35, 50, and 85mm f/1.8 for 2500 after tax during NAB from B&H with bundle and discount code. The primes are flawless and I'm very happy with value and performance. I have no experience with L-mount zooms as I prefer a slower pace
@@johntupper1369 I think I will get the 24,35,50. The other lens I was looking at was 24-70 sigma but that was only for when I was traveling just so I can bring 1 lens for everything. The 24 would be for vlogging/talking head and the 35 for problem just talking head. The 50 is for broil. Would you say 85mm is better for that. The difference is $100 more
I know, you probably don't get to pick your three Prime lenses. But if you could. For vlogging (walking around and pointing the camera at yourself), you might prefer the 18mm. This is because the camera stabilization set to High cuts in quite a bit. Plus, the 18mm on a camera set to aps-c mode is equivalent to 24mm, I think. So, skip the 24mm. Then, you could get the 35mm Prime (aps-c mode full frame 50mm equivalent, I think). So, then you would skip the 50mm. For your third Prime which would be a portrait lens, you might think of either the 85 or the 100. To me, the 100mm is cool. It takes great portrait shots, and it has 1:1 macro. Plus, in aps-c mode, it is a 160mm lens, I think. So, you would have 18-160mm.....kind of. As for me, I have no switchable lens camera, so please take my advice with a grain of salt.
Several other tests find some lack of sharpness in center wide open, and in corners even beyond f4. Wonder if that's some variation in manufacturing quality or maybe different testing method.
@ 3:38 is it chromatic aberration or moire/false colour? If it disapperas in high resolution mode, it probably is false colour. If it remains, it's CA.
BTW can you do a stabilization test b/w the new FW S5II/X e stabilization settings. I feel like E stabilization standard is enough for most controlled walking shots.
@@TheHybridShooter only the sharpest lenses resolve enough detail to produce false colour. This might very well be just CA, but just wanted to make sure.

This is how I like videos: no long ramble, straight to the great content. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Lumix cameras are criminally underrated

4 am for me, wonderful morning surprise. Another great video as always
Thank you!
I picked up the S5ii and the 50mm 1.8 a couple days ago. The 24mm is on the way! I am very happy to return to LUMIX.
William, if you had to bring just a few L-mount lenses on a shoot, which would you choose and why?
I have loved the reviews recently, btw

I hope Lumix makes a 135mm prime.
Nice setup friend
Very good review like always friend.
The 24mm is the best Lumix 1.8 I've used.

@d2kinu874 hard to go wrong with lumix S primes. Good problem to have

Sorry to comment about a different product but I'm curious if you have any more AcePro videos coming up soon?
No problem. At the moment I am not working on any videos featuring the Ace Pro.
Thank you
You’re welcome, thank you for watching!
That is good for gimbal and cinema rigs 1:23
How does it compare at f4 to the 16-35 s-pro in terms of sharpness, color rendition, contrast etc
Prague ❤❤❤

It is usually the variation in testing method.

I guess that all lenses would that, if it was false color. That is not the case, so it is most likely CA.
