    Very nice Richard, thanks for the tip. Mine is intermittent starting at the moment. I had this with another car a few years ago, turned out to be the relay, after checking the pump under the seat. @@richardshomemechanics5566 Hi Richard. I swapped the relay with another and there you go, all OK. Now thinking back, the car wasn't pulling as it should have. Now it seems much better. I'm thinking that the points in the relay weren't contacting all the time, therefore, the petrol wasn't continuous! So not pulling as it should have been. Thanks again.

      Hi Azhar
      Immobiliser problems can be very tricky to sort out and often very expensive does the car actually turn over or try to start while the red light is flashing if not there is normally a fuse behind the glove box that controls the imobilizer this may well have blown

      Unfortunately Azhar it’s still looking like you have a imobiliser problem if your mechanic has run a scan on your car and it’s still playing up you may have to go to a Ford specialist who would normally find theses faults as they are working on theses make of cars all the time 🙂

    Greetings from South Africa. I personally find that these Fiestas tend to start up far too quickly compared to other cars from other brands. It's like pressing a button for, let's say,, half a second. I also find that when warm they sometimes tend to give a bit of a misfire as the engine is firing into life. If my family had to get a Fiesta Mk6.5 with the 1.6l petrol engine one day how do we get the starter to turn the engine a bit longer, let's say for over a second before it fires into life and how do we get it to fire into life as smooth as possible. I also find that the exhaust tone tends to sound quite throaty, especially on the Mk6 models. The stock systems also tend to have a sporty sound on the 1.25l and 1.4l models.

    I have diesel Ford fiesta mk6 and all of sudden won't start. I checked to see if fuel was coming and not fuel so I tried to started with the spray and it worked but only while spraying and then would stop again.
    I went to check the switch like in the video and the wire is there with the black bit of the plastic but not the yellow end which would plug in.
    I checked all the relay and fuses and they're fine so I couldn't figure out what was wrong and I just left it.
    However few hours later I had a go again and started first time like nothing happened. Drove for 2 weeks, no issues and today when I jumped in to go to work it happened again. After 2 hours looking at everything again, I pressed that pump next to the engine, which brings the diesel and waited a while and done it again and eventually then the car started and it drives fine again but for how long I don't know. Anyway, I don't know why I haven't got the yellow switch in there

    • @richardshomemechanics5566
      @richardshomemechanics5566  Рік тому +2

      Hi Marius you will not have the yellow fuel cut out push button in yours as I believe they are only fitted in cars with petrol engines . In regards to the non starting you have all ready proved by putting easy start In through the air filter housing that there’s nothing actually wrong with the engine and your problem Is fuel delivery . you either have a problem with your fuel delivery pump or you are getting air into the fuel system either through the fuel filter or any other of the fuel delivery pipes . Check all connections are tight by going round checking with a spanner . You could have air trapped in your fuel system this will need to be primed out . You may have a little pump ball that you can use to bleed the fuel system to expel any trapped air . You may need to loosen one injector pipe to be able to achieve this .
      Kind regards

      @@richardshomemechanics5566 just an update. Since then, the car drove fine for about a week and was starting very well and then one morning didn't start again so went to the prime pump by the engine and pressed it several times and started again and then this issue became pretty much every other day so when I looked around I have noticed around the prime pump where the 2 clear houses houses into that little bit of black plastic, one of the house wasn't fully pushed in and was wet around it so I went to push it in but before putting any pressure it snapped the bit where the house goes on it and remained inside the house. It seemed like it was glued previously. Anyway in the end I had to get the prime pump with all the houses around it as the plastic bit doesn't come on it own so I replaced all that and may as well I thought if everything is taken off why not change the fuel filter too. Surprisingly it was even worse after all this work. The car won't even start after 4 hours from turning the engine off whiteout using the prime pump to bring the fuel. In the end I bought the fuel pump from inside the tank. took the fuel tank off as you can't access it from the back seat like other cars and replace it and since then no more issues. Stars fine so the problem was the sending unit from inside the fuel tank. Hope it helps anyone does come across this situation.
