Thanks for the info!
I'm just curious where this fuel cutoff switch is located?
I have the 2007 mk2 Ford focus but's the estate (wagon) version.
I'm getting engine cranking but no fuel pump prime noise!
I cheeked the 15amp fuse in position 51 under the glove box and it looks good but I changed it out.
Will check the fuel pump relay next.
Thanks for the video, it’s very helpful, if you can show me where is the fuel cut off switch located in Cadillac SRX 2014 please.
Hi there, not all cars are equipped with fuel cut off switch, on many of them ECM performs the fuel cut off function, I think your car must be the second type.
Great video. Very helpful👏👏👏Thanks so much. How to get the diagram??
Hi there, Glad it was helpful. That wiring diagram I used in this video can be found in the video description.
Thank you
👍👍👍
Very informative, where is the cut off fuel switch sensor in jeep compass 2018 ? Please
Hi there, I’m not sure about that car but many new models don’t have the cut-off switch any more as ECM cuts off the fuel pump if needed, most likely your car doesn’t have one.
Tnx ❤
Thanks for watching
Does anybody know where the fuel cut off switch is for a 2010 e250
Thanx for the video very informative, and will help me out with a project of mine. One Question just out of curiosity, C-171 on the diagram, the red wire runs to. is that a warning light in the cluster ?. Thanx
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Yes, exactly. But not all cars have that one.
Is the 2011 vw tiguan has safety cut-off switch ?
I don’t have the two pink wires I have a red and white
Colours can be different but the whole point is very the same.
What is the purpose of third wire? My ford focus MK2 has same switch and connector but has only two wires on the place of pink ones you had. On third pin wire when ingnition is ON I have 12v and on the second 4v?!? My car won't turn on just cranking and I'm investigating now what could it be.
Did you figure it out?
What the red wire for I think
It’s connected to the warning light in the instrument cluster.
What is the model of this car??
Nice video
Thanks, this is Ford Territory 2009 but the repair procedure is almost the same for other models too.
I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator. What if my fuel pump works when I bypass the relay, and my inertia switch is working. What could be the cause for the pump to not come on when I turn the key to the on position? Also on my year, they made the fuel pump relay internal soldered to the board. Please help me and thank you
ECU energizes the fuel pump relay, so if relay is ok and bypass shows it’s working, you need to check the relay’s control line ( between relay and ECM)
Hello. Where can i get the electrical diagram from a Renault Zoe? Do you know if a Zoe has also an inertial cutoff switch? If Yes, where is it located? Thanks in advance. Ovidiu
Where is it located in your vehicle is it on the driver side or passenger side some where..
Hi there, on this car which was Ford Territory, it was located on passenger side (left side), but on many other cars this switch is located in engine room.
I have always thought that if the switch is turn upside down the switch stop the fuel pump
So I hope this video helps
I have an 05 Hyundai Accent ad there is no reset button so and there doesn’t seem to be any information on what to do.
Hi there, I don't think there is one on your car. You can check the fuel pump relay if pump is not working.
thanks for that
👍👍👍
@Automotivediagnosis, can you please advise where can i find Electrical diagrams for Ford Focus 2.5L (xr5) ST 2006-2009
Hi there, you might find it on this website: Cardiagn.com
Note: I don't know those guys at all, I just found it by a quick search in the Net.
It won’t load the page for 2003 Lincoln Navigator
Will u plz tell from where u brought that wiring diagram or how I can get that wiring diagram or any wiring for any car
Hi There, That's Ford wiring diagram that may come in PDF format or offline format that you can open it up with a browser. I have been working in this field for many years so I have tried to find them from the dealerships or sometimes online. There are some online websites offering the workshop manuals I believe.

Does anyone know where the fuel pump switch is on a 2019 camaro?
Have checked any and every place suggested for a fuel cut-off switch. and there is none. I've even taken carpet up in the tire well. Called the local Ford place, and the guys answer was, "I really don't know." What?!Car tries to start, sounds like it at least, but just won't start. I've watched ALL the videos as to where it should be located, and I have check in these places, it just isn't there. HELP!
Is this one going to help with the cut off switch - at this point, I need anything!
Do you have the check engine light on?
Hi I can not find my Inertia fuel cut off switch for 2006 DIesel Santa fe. Can you help me find it.
I don't think there is one on you car.
I have cold starting problem
Then suddenly, cuts out while driving at slow speed. Fast driving is ok.
@@gautombose4172 Hi there, if it is diesel, for cold starting your problem could be coming from glow plugs. Hi-pressure pump also must be checked as in high speed it rotates faster by engine and gives higher pressure, but in low speed, a weak pump shows itself.
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis The clue is that, when the car cuts out, and I turn on the ignition, the fuel pump does not come on. I can hear the vibration noise, from the fuel pump, if and when it turns on.
👍👍👍
👍
Why didn’t you simply reset the switch? 🤦🏽♂️
Reset only works when switch has cut-off the fuel pump, but when switch is faulty, reset won’t work. That’s why this video shows how to bypass the switch too.
