Mitch Trubisky is every other bears starting QB. He has invented a time machine to play football, and got a little rusty when he came here. Only you know this ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ ᶠᵘⁿ ᶠᵃᶜᵗ, and I'm so proud of you
The video covered that pretty well. The Bears often won despite Trubisky because of their defense. Look at Steelers first game this year with him starting. The defense gave him 5 turnovers, set up him to score multiple times and the Steelers BARELY won only after they blocked an extra point and won in OT. Instead of MT taking those turnovers and making the game the blowout it should have been he played "safe" enough to not lose his starting job to a rookie.
49ers fan here worried about the same thing going with the All American Boy Mac Jones. I think its a big mistake to give up so much for nothing special no upside. The NFL loves overated white quarterbacks who should not be drafted so high. The list are endless but front offices are always going to sell the fans dreams
I feel bad for him, honestly. Its not his fault he got drafted where he did, that was a hail mary from management. He never improved on his weak spots, but how was he supposed to on the Bears? Good luck out there, Mitch.
I like Mitch, I think he didn’t get a fair chance to really play to his strengths. Nagy wanted one offense, Mitch liked another. Nagy wouldn’t develop Mitch into his style of QB, but wouldn’t let Mitch cook in his own style. It’s a shame really. I’ll miss you Mitch. I appreciate you blurring out the double doink, it’s still a deep wound
I also felt they did him a disservice by trying to start him so quick this was a project qb who had only started 13 games in college looking back it probably would have been best to let gleenon start the season have Mitch learn behind him b terrible add talent to the team through the draft then start Mitch in year 2
what kind of offense would play to Mitch's strengths/style? I really don't see it. All his tools (arm strength, arm accuracy, QB IQ, pocket presence, etc.) are average or worse. the only thing i might argue is above average is his mobility, but that's not enough when you can't reliably hit a target
There is no offense that can fit a QB who can't read a defense and is inaccurate. The only success Mitch ever had came against the worst defenses in the league. Any competent defense shut him down.
@@nickcostanza8730 I mean he’s not a hood QB. But if he could have a pocket for mote then two seconds he might do well. The bears offense has sucked for awhile
Mitch Trubisky was underrated and scapegoated. Mitch Trubisky was given up on too soon. Despite early struggles, he improved steadily over his years with the Bears. Look at the stats and his team record - over 10,000 yards, 64 touchdowns, and a 63.4% completion rate in just 3 seasons. He's got the talent, he just lacked coaching and weapons.
Been waiting for this video since 2019 🤣 but I’ve been a bears fan since 2015 and watching through Cutlers last seasons, Glennon and Foles, Mitch was the one guy I thought was better at that point in their history. Best of the garbage pile I guess, it’s just a shame he did a lot for the communities in Chicago and they didn’t even thank him. Love the video!
Yeah, he seems like a good guy. I hope he does well in Buffalo. I think him being picked at #3 was the worst thing that could’ve happened to him, especially when Watson & Mahomes started performing as well as they did. It was just too much pressure for a QB who never should’ve been picked before #30, if not the 2nd round.
As a Raiders fan, I would love to see a video on one of two things: 1. How the team is hopefully improving itself to become a possible playoff contender. 2. Why Derek Carr is a better Quarterback than people give him credit for.
Whatever naggy changed after the 2018 season didn’t work, I’ve said this when they drafted Mitch that all he had to do was move the chains and control the clock and add points, the Defense was elite and could keep the scoring to a minimum.
Mitch failed because the Bears failed him as they’ve failed every QB that’s suited up for them. They do nothing to support these guys. They want the QB to raise them up as if they’re super men but don’t supply them with any personnel because they don’t care about the QB or the offense. How do you not value the most important position on the team outside of the coach and GM? They don’t even value the Offensive Line that protects their QB! But it’s Mitch’s fault. But most importantly the coach doesn’t know how to develop or coach talent. A good coach would have gotten a lot out of Mitch and would have gotten another young prospect to develop under him. Nagy never wanted him and the GM gave up on him after 2 seasons under the new coach. They’ll never win because they’re too political when it comes to who they hire in the front office. They need real football people drafting real football players. Plain and simple!
Straight facts hell he was literally was better for the bears then what fields has been but instead of blaming Matt Naggy’s lack of coaching ability and the front office not getting him anything it’s “Mitch was a bust”

Another crazy thing I learned about Mitch: When he was being evaluated for the draft, it was revealed that he didn't know what a hard count was until he got to the NFL...
the mike glennon trubisky situation is surprisingly similar to dalton fields older qb guaranteed starter by pace, gets benched for rookie who has a pretty bad year with a solid defense and no offensive weapons
its especially sad when you have a qb guru like nagy who failed at developing trubisky. nagy and the entire organization is a joke. on a side note, purple mattress is my favorite mattress ive ever owned

Thank you for your calming professional voice, for factual entertaining video clips, and thank especially for NOT being a You Tube poster who likes to see himself on camera more than a concern for content.
Yeah because Sean McDermott and Brian Daboll know how to work an offense to help set up players who are extremely raw in their skill sets. I’d be very worried if I were Josh going down with an injury tbh.
He had one root problem. Post snap reads. When he knew where he was going, his footwork was good and he was accurate as any QB. And Nagy did nothing to help but give him a Bible of a playbook with nothing that would get guys open for easy completions. When's the last game you saw multiple Bears wide open? Been a while and certainly before Nagy.
im a bears fan thru and thru and i watched every game he played in, no he is not an elite qb, but he is not ryan leaf either, anyone that leads there team to a playoff twice in 3 years cant be called a bust, with all his low side he is still fun to watch and works hard, im still team mitch, I pray this guy can play without fear to the best of the ability that GOD blessed him with
He didn't lead the team to the playoffs. If the defense has a significantly higher DVOA, that side of the ball gets the credit for the playoff birth. Hes a bust. Players bust all the time. Theres no shame in that.
I think the bears gave up on Mitch WAY TOO QUICK. If they had any clue how to run a franchise they would have canned Nagy & Pace and got a real GM and coach to work with him.
One thing that nobody talks about is the fact that if you go back search "top QB prospects in the 2017 draft" almost all the listings have Trubisky ranked at 1. Obviously they were all wrong.
For years I have been watching boring, unobjective, baseless and simply empty of substance pseudo-reports about the CB.... This is something completely different, thank you very much for that! Smart, unexcited, substantial and right! Great, excellent and thank you from a German Amercian Football fan, true Chicago Bears fan.
The crazy thing is that people only think he “failed” because he was over drafted. He has the 8th highest winning percentage of any NFL QB since he was drafted, but the expectations were to be #1.
I'm from Chicago, so I can be brutally honest. I like Mitch, he seems to be a standup guy. Unfortunately, the Bears have never drafted well in my lifetime. And, they are the team to where QB's go to die. They have never developed a QB. Other than Pace's failures, Nagy's predictable play calling, and they cannot beat the Packers, it's a recipe for failure and shattered dreams. The 100th Anniversary game with the Pack on Monday night told me all I need to know about Nagy. This is the premier game of the year, 100th anniversary with 2 of the fiercest rivalries ever on exclusive National TV. And Nagy had his team prepped and played like it was a pre season game. He rested Mitch in the preseason as the Pats did with HOFer Brady. Mitch was lost and it was an embarrassing game. Mitch needed reps, not rest. Oh well, the Mitch pick has killed this team for 5 years, maybe more. Now the parade of retreads begins. Mack's golden years are being wasted. The Bears will have to tank to get another high pick so they can screw that one up again, as long as the family is still owning the team.
What does “ I’m from Chicago “ have to do with anything? Your a fan just like the rest of us! Your seeing the games just like the rest of us. You being from Chicago doesn’t meant you know more than the rest
Jim Plunkett failed with the Patriots and 49ers, so what was different with the Raiders? The Raiders had talent and a hall of fame offensive line that allowed Plunkett to stay upright in the pocket. Football more than any other sport is a team sport. What if Mahoomes goes the Bears and Trubisky to the Chiefs, which one has the ring.

Bears ruined him. Hope Buffalo resets him, teach him, and get him going in a starter job somewhere else.
He has his chance now
As a bears fan I love your videos and I'm probably still gonna love this one but it still pains me 😔
Mitchell Trubisky as starter: 25-13 (.658)
Every other CHI starting QB: 9-18 (.333)
Mitch Trubisky is every other bears starting QB. He has invented a time machine to play football, and got a little rusty when he came here. Only you know this ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ ᶠᵘⁿ ᶠᵃᶜᵗ, and I'm so proud of you
Then why is a bumass QB like Kenny Pickett is starting over Trubisky?
NVP>MVP
Tbh Mitch did get the bears to two playoff appearances,I think Trubisky gets unnecessary hate sometimes
As an eagles fan I can relate as far as how they handled Carson Wentz but Wentz was injury prone and fragile minded. Jalen Hurts is better
As a chief fan, I give my cousins, die hard bear fan hugs after each season...

The Mario music in the beginning was a very nice touch 😎
I feel like you’re gonna be doing a Mac Jones to the 49ers video similar to this in a few years. Start taking notes buddy!
49ers fan here worried about the same thing going with the All American Boy Mac Jones. I think its a big mistake to give up so much for nothing special no upside. The NFL loves overated white quarterbacks who should not be drafted so high. The list are endless but front offices are always going to sell the fans dreams
@@BrunoJaws if I was the 49ers I’d take fields
Id take Fields too. I think he is the best quarterback in the draft.
@@BrunoJaws mac jones today is light years ahead of trubisky in terms of reading a defense going through his progressions and footwork in the pocket.
@@timtresch4848 I cant argue with that analogy. Trubisky was terrible his last year of college.
All his tools (arm strength, arm accuracy, QB IQ, pocket presence, etc.) are average or worse. the only thing i might argue is above average is his mobility, but that's not enough when you can't reliably hit a target
double doink lol
There is no offense that can fit a QB who can't read a defense and is inaccurate. The only success Mitch ever had came against the worst defenses in the league. Any competent defense shut him down.
@@nickcostanza8730 I mean he’s not a hood QB. But if he could have a pocket for mote then two seconds he might do well. The bears offense has sucked for awhile
Thanks for blurring out that horrendous play🥺 very much appreciated
Mitch Trubisky was underrated and scapegoated. Mitch Trubisky was given up on too soon. Despite early struggles, he improved steadily over his years with the Bears. Look at the stats and his team record - over 10,000 yards, 64 touchdowns, and a 63.4% completion rate in just 3 seasons. He's got the talent, he just lacked coaching and weapons.
He forget Russell Wilson saying he would play for the bears. Top 5 QB in Bears history.
the seahawks have made it clear that theyre not giving wilson to the bears
Russ would be the top 1 QB in Bears history tbh
crazy that he was pro bowler two years ago I feel like I’m old
This was a great video and very detailed on his derailment... good job
Thanks for eating up some of my bandwidth with your pillow talk.
Fun to watch this after we drafted Fields
Seriously!
In 4 years this video will be about fields.
@@reelrocknrolla4251 Zach Wilson is a bust, jets will draft another QB in 2 yrs.
Fields > Wilson
Poor mitch. He looks like a good dude. Great video as always my man !
As a Raiders fan, I would love to see a video on one of two things:
Why trade up and use a top 5 pick on a player that's a game manager at best?
This video now officially needs a follow-up, with a title something like "We're Sorry, Mitch: Why Matt Nagy Is The Next Adam Gase"...
> go 12-4, things are looking up
> coach changes offense next year to try to be like Chiefs and o-line sucks
> fails miserably, but it's all Mitch's fault
seems legit
They went 12-4 that year primarily because of their defense, not Mitch.
@@ErikCB912 we know that. But Mitch still played good that year.
@@2xmed266 He played like a game manager. Outside torching an overrated Bucs secondary, his entire job was to hand the ball to Jordan Howard, throw screens to Tarik Cohen, and not shit himself on the field.
@@ryanchase9332 and succeeded right. As soon as the offense changed to a shitty discount kc offense he regressed heavy. Shouldn’t have changed the offense on him like tht but it’s whatever now let’s see how andy preforms.
Fire nagy. Cant call a play in 41 seconds doesn't know who his half back is to start 100 season ,a tight? O line? Best of luck and sincere regards Mitchell. Fire Pace and SHUFFLE OFF TO BUFFALO.
That water world Mario music in the beginning teleports me back to being a kid. Well done
The video stated that Bears GM
was a scout for the Saints....
“When he was a scout with Drew Brees”
NEWS FLASH:
Drew Brees was drafted by the Chargers!!
Do you think he wasn’t, y’know, scouted when he hit the market? News Flash: He was scouted when he got released. That’s why he got signed by the Saints.
Dire Dire Docks theme really is ubiquitous in the analysis and retrospective genres beyond just video games, isn't it?
Another crazy thing I learned about Mitch:
When he was being evaluated for the draft, it was revealed that he didn't know what a hard count was until he got to the NFL...
I already knew that when he was drafted
he’s still really good at hard counts tho
@@SaifKhan-if8cm Probably knew the concept just not the term for it. Not that it really matters, only incompetent teams fall for it....

the mike glennon trubisky situation is surprisingly similar to dalton fields
older qb guaranteed starter by pace, gets benched for rookie who has a pretty bad year with a solid defense and no offensive weapons
Who’s here after Mitch got benched for Kenny Pickett
He’s never thrown a pick 6 solid pick imo
It's scary that some people in the bears front office thought it was a good idea to draft this kid with the 2nd pick.
This is about the most spot on evaluation of the Trubisky era I've seen.
its especially sad when you have a qb guru like nagy who failed at developing trubisky. nagy and the entire organization is a joke. on a side note, purple mattress is my favorite mattress ive ever owned

I think Mitch is gonna thrive behind Josh Allen. He'll have a chance to actually develop
Yeah because Sean McDermott and Brian Daboll know how to work an offense to help set up players who are extremely raw in their skill sets. I’d be very worried if I were Josh going down with an injury tbh.

The man, the myth, the legend, the NVP himself.
Excellent video as always. 👍😄
im a bears fan thru and thru and i watched every game he played in, no he is not an elite qb, but he is not ryan leaf either, anyone that leads there team to a playoff twice in 3 years cant be called a bust, with all his low side he is still fun to watch and works hard, im still team mitch, I pray this guy can play without fear to the best of the ability that GOD blessed him with
I really like Mitch as well. I hope he’ll use the skills that EVOLUTION gave him to make the best of his fresh start.
He didn't lead the team to the playoffs. If the defense has a significantly higher DVOA, that side of the ball gets the credit for the playoff birth. Hes a bust. Players bust all the time. Theres no shame in that.
This could be a 3 second video that just says Matt Nagy
I think the bears gave up on Mitch WAY TOO QUICK. If they had any clue how to run a franchise they would have canned Nagy & Pace and got a real GM and coach to work with him.
One thing that nobody talks about is the fact that if you go back search "top QB prospects in the 2017 draft" almost all the listings have Trubisky ranked at 1. Obviously they were all wrong.
It's not Trubisky's fault that the Bears can't develop a QB. At all.
Nagy was, is and will always be the problem! Good Luck in Buffalo Mitch!!!!
Mitch now gets to learn from Brian Daboll and Josh Allen. Hopefully he does work with Jordan Palmer. Could be a starter next year.
Lol what? Why would they start Mitch over Allen? He may be a starter somewhere eventually, but not Buffalo the way JA is playing
“His candidness” I DIED 😂
The crazy thing is that people only think he “failed” because he was over drafted. He has the 8th highest winning percentage of any NFL QB since he was drafted, but the expectations were to be #1.
Mack and Jackson? lol
NVP award winner. Who needs a 4000 yard season when you have the only QB with that award
Simple, he wasn't ready to be a starter in the NFL. The Bears also didn't do him many favors on the offense but he's had some weapons.
Exactly. He definitely had some weapons on the field. It's crazy.
Super Mario 64 music playing in the background! God the memories on that console! 🥺
