Well, this could have been a whole lot worse given the hysterical blowback by U.S. press to GM's tune and his speaking out against the Iraq invasion/war - the press went for the poor guy's throat with the most hideous headlines I've ever seen, even worse than what the printed when he was busted in the park. He really was such an honest, decent man and press in the UK and many here were like rabid dogs exposing their homophobia with every word. I so admired his resilience and graciousness.
Such a sad man. Self destructive, lonely. Too many losses to get over. Wasn't interested in talking care of his physical self. Never should have known Faudi Fawaz! I wouldn't be surprised if he killed him in 2016 by not calling Emergency services hours 4+ hours after finding him xmas morning. George was getting rid of Faudi.
