This guy is not what the algorythim wants but in all honesty is the most transparent and honest content creator on the boardgame space! Keep the good work man!
@Exozik The concept, the art, the writing, the pedigree of the company and my guts feeling. It's a me thing, nothing fully rational, just a lot of clicking and sensing.
Ugh, I wish I was a super genius who could learn rules just by glancing at them. I love games but I'm not great at learning them. I know some people really enjoy reading the rules and learning, but I'm one of those "if I could just know the rules and play, I would." I only play solo board games maybe 3 times a week, maybe more like 2. There are at least two games a month that come out that I want to try! How can someone keep up. When it's just me in my garage (where my gaming area is), I really don't care. I admire my own collection, games I love, games I hope I love that I have yet to get to yet. I feel content. But I love watching youtube folks talk about games too. You're my new favorite! (you seem like... a real human? Not an endless board game schilling machine like most others), but it always just makes me want to chase that new hotness. Ugh I just wish I could play them all. The new Chip Theory Elder Scrolls game looks awesome. Quest for the Mad Pixel and Iron Helm look brilliant on Gamecrafter. My copy of Dragons Down is showing up later this month... but I'm in the process of learning 5 Parsecs from Home, and I've told myself I won't play another game until I'm 10 plays into that one. The games are piling up and here I am looking at videos tempting me into new ones! I appreciate that you don't tell everyone to buy everything though.

i Hope you get enormity, I really want your opinion of it. Chris. I know you're always kind of saying your the low man in this field. I totally respect your stance. I love the fact you call out most of these companies and their kickstarters. At sometimes I've unsubscribed you for some of your odder stances (haven't in awhile). but some how I always end up subscribing you back and I watch about everyone of your videos. I like that you like to pinch pennies, like standees more then miniatures (i paint my minis So I love them) but Now that I have 300+ kickstarter games all with minis. I have to many. So getting a game with good acrylic standees. helps my paint backlog. I really wanna see your opinion of Enormity. I want it baddly, but have nemesis 3 coming.

Samurai is a great game, was one of the first designer boardgames my group bought some 20 years ago, also started drinking coffee in the past few years
I also had Slay the Spire in my Boardlandia cart. When I got the email about their black friday sale i had 0 hesitation. It hasnt shipped yet so im a little worried but cant wait to get it.

Probably overload from the sales month putting them behind
I (insanely) went all in on AT:O and am patiently waiting for it to arrive. Now they are dropping Enormity. Totally hyped just like you, but I really need to know how big it's going to be. I'm at the point of having to build an extension onto the house just for a place to put my games!
I've backed hundreds of KS... shhh... Slay the Spire is my 2nd biggest surprise ever. If you're getting it for true solo idk why you wouldn't just let the app do all the math and shuffling for you. If you want to try the spire with a friend or 2.... this game is SO frickin' great. For me it was definitely worth the $. Hope you love it
Does "hotness" make you purchase something? I don't give a shit about how hot a game is cause it stays in MY collection not the BGG hotness. It's best for you to think about you man otherwise keeping up with the Jones's will make ya broke or playing the "trade game" which costs you time. I've been there. This is why I just buy more games now so I don't feel obligated to cover everything. Don't get caught up in this...trust me burnout happens and you don't even see it happening.
@distortedsteeve2980 Chris is fair. He's learning what it's like to go from unknown content creator to a more sought after one and that comes with complicated thoughts on how you move. I'm just trying to make sure he doesn't lose sight of those games behind him are also for fun and his collection and not just content. When you make content there are times where you get far away from that. Also burnout speaks up real quick.

Everything isn't so clearly definitive as you make it out to be and when shown honest and transparency, this is the response implying instead hypocrisy.
I so agree with super fantasy brawl. I've been eyeing it for years. Now it's here, by cmon, and it's hard to say no. I have a ton of Unmatched, I have Guards of Atlantis on the way. Both are better skirmish and better team games. I also have all of Yomi season 2, and a whole lot of exceed, for my "fighting game IP" style games. I can skip on SFB. But man is it enticing.
Your video titled Every must have crowdfunding board game November 2024 & why you shouldn’t back them” You on Tend “Back, because it’s a great fit for you mechanically speaking”. So you’re not exactly implying don’t back which is unfaithful to your title.. so again no real definitive answer here on how YOU as a reviewer feel about the game. My comment “You said a lot of the same stuff in the last video covering all of these games with question marks all over the board. Sometimes I don’t know if you’re afraid to say something or just backtrack because you get a lot of this for for review (free). This video was a huge waste of time and glad I watch in 2x speed.” So again, I stand by what I said. Yes its not just and ONLY reasons not to back. I'm allowed to state reason to back as well.
Chris, You are a shill, but I love your content. You talk out of both sides of your mouth "don't back this", but then proceed to praise the same game. The fact is that if you receive anything from a publisher, you will be biased. Be honest about this at least. Keep up the great videos.
Exactly! I’m the one that he’s bitching about in this video because I asked him to be honest, and oh wait the don’t back anything video is a mash up of stuff he puts together where some of the stuff he actually tells people to back… this dude is just full of himself.

Out of curiosity, why can't I say "Dont back it for X" and then still praise it? It's like saying this game was awesome for me, but if you don't like X dont get it. There's the seeming obsession with only one side or the other. Things arent black or white.
