Dear Gas I’m 74 years old I’ve only ever been camping once age 15 yrs with girl friends but I do love to watch and listen to to you and the things you get up to I love the history lessons stay safe lad bright blessings
I love watching you and your little dog . One reason I fell in love with my husband 52years ago was because he loved the outdoors as much as I do. Now we are old and those day's of camping are over. I do enjoy watching your videos. Please stay safe and know you are loved for bringing me joy with your videos and take care of your pup. I have four little doge that bring me a lot of joy.
I wish I could go camping but I am disabled and have to walk with a walker. I’m too old too😅. I love watching your camping videos. I’m originally from England but moved to the USA years ago. There’s loads of places to camp in the US, it’s a big country. Also loads of stories about Bigfoot in the woods. Enjoy yourself and stay safe pup too.
In America ghost hunting in haunted forests is pretty popular. One suggestion would be two surrounding layers of bells not too close to your tent but at least 8 to 10 feet that way you have time to get up and catch whatever is attempting to break in your camping area. I don’t know how popular cabins are but if you can get on a website to locate haunted cabins you can always be camping sort of but a roof at the same time. It doesn’t have to be full amenities you know or even electricity. There is another trend which is scarier to me which is finding locations on google maps that are abandoned homes way out from any locals and find the safest room to sleep in overnight.
Hey Gaz, great to see you back, too much bad news flying about? Hope you continue in some form, either van life scenario or solo tenting with the dog of course? The spooky vids are good also. I think your history content about the area you visit is cool also, either way mate, please keep it up! Too long since your last vid buddy. Keep up the great work and retain your sense of humour too....all the best buddy from a regular viewer😉👍
Hi Gaz, I enjoyed this video. It was interesting to see the difference in the cameras. Good to see you and Fendy again. Love the fact that you are so natural and honest.😊
@@GrizzlyGazI just took a gander and noticed this colin fellow has a channel with nice music and decent content but his “subs” are surprisingly low, I think there might be a bit of envy rearing it’s head? Anyway, we/ me will all move along and keep an eye open for your next adventure with the French doll! One another note: Out here in Northern California, we have been listening to some recent “creepy” stories about Sasquatch up in the area where we have a generational family mountain home, close to the Pacific Coast Trail. In the past, I have heard “tree knocks” but honestly, I never really thought about what was making them even though they were very loud? Our home is right where there were actual tapes made of supposed squatch verbalizations that were analyzed by linguists and they verified that the language is not “gibberish”, interesting?! I still do not know one way or another but there are many mysteries in this world and I do find the whole discussion very compelling?! Signing off good buddy Gazz, take good care of yourself and your loved ones and come back when the weather is less miserable! ❤
Keep the new cam Grizzles, so much better in the day and the night...the only thing missing on the new cam for night time is infra red. Good day to you sirrah.
The tent looks sturdy. Reinforced seams. I'm still using a 30 y/o tent. It survived a tropical storm and wild ponies, camping on Assateague Island. The DJI was way better in low light. Thanks and happy New Year!
The DJI definitely performs better in low-light from what I can see and the stabilizer/gimbal definitely makes a difference over the GoPro. Looked into a gimbal locking feature and it appears there's a scene lock feature but I didn't see much on a physical locking mechanism. Great video as always! Good luck in the contest as well!
You gotta have ground tarp for more warmth! Using an inflatable mattress guarantees you more warmth! Also, buy two cheap clear shower curtains, or patterned if you want to get funky. Connect the two at the side WITHOUT the shower ring holes/grommets. There are several ways to do that. You now have a 4 meter by 2 meter sheet of strong plastic to throw over your tent to make it 100% waterproof, and you can use the shower ring holes to stake it down.
Thanks for the new video! I have one request: could you talk a little about Fendy's sleeping bag, clothes, how she copes with ~0C and such? I'm planning to bring my Cavalier dogs (about Fendy's size) on overnight camping next spring and summer.
I’m voting for you for sure, I love your videos. You take us on an adventure with beautiful scenery while teaching history and tell us interesting stories. Sometimes you have fun and entertain us with your mates. At times it has become spooky or dangerous with a storm. And most of all you aren’t afraid to talk about topics that need to be talked about. You aren’t afraid to say you F’ed up and to learn while you go. I hate watching channels that hike, setup, drink coffee then cook=boring. I think your personality makes your videos excellent, Fendy helps too of course.
Here in Southern Finland we had around -25C and more right around New year and that was cold as it is not normal...even I remember us having real winters still at the 80's and cold, but now winters has been mildish here, around -5C to +5C during january, but now it has been so so cold january. 😢
Gaz, I've been watching your videos for ages, the ideas you have are great. Buy the car, film the short horror movies. A lot of what you want to do is because you have a passion for it. Screw content, I've never camped in my life and I'm not likely to, my escapism is watching you do it and enjoying it. Your passion for what you do is as engaging as what you actually do. If it turns out to be crap don't worry about, put it out there anyway, people are watching you as much as your content.
Great to see you out and about. GoPro is crap, DJI much better, all ready voted for your channel. Good luck with winning don’t let it go to your head DAN LOL . Thanks again for your work mate and see you too soon Alan from Luton ⛺️⭐️👏🇬🇧👍👍
Hey Gaz, 1st off, congrats on your nomination for film maker of the year. A well deserved nomination for sure. I'm a bit surprised that the tent manufacturer whom appears to of gone to great length to make a quality tent, would create a vent with no insect screening..??? As for your filming system. The DJI is a game changer I believe for you. Looking forward to seeing how that tent does in winter conditions. Keep up the excellent filming Gaz, always a pleasure to see you Fendy on an adventure. Cheers my friend
Dear Gaza I don’t camp I don’t watch you for tips on gear. I watch you because your a great human with a cute pup a wonderful smile and infectious laugh!😊
The DJI on my 85” and on iPhone looked a thousand times better for night time filming. The torch was great too. Certainly an awesome upgrade to your filming capabilities to switch to the DJI come evening. Thanks for the videos and work you put into it!

Hi Gaz. Congratulations on the nomination, you completely deserve it., I've been watching your channel for a while, should have commented sooner. You're by far my favourite UA-camr. I could binge-watch your videos all day & sometimes do when I have a day off 😊. You're such a down to earth, fun, guy to watch. Your love of & respect for the Outdoors & Nature shines out of you. I love when you chat away to the camera about anything & everything, please continue to do that. Fendy is so cute & gorgeous, such a great little girl & a brilliant Hiker😊. The difference between the two camera's is night and day. The GoPro is seriously lacking. What a huge difference. Thanks for the knowledge. Love your videos mate!
My 9 year old son and I enjoy your videos and now I've had to buy about 3 different tents to put up in the back yard and even in the living room. The checks in the mail. Thanks mate!
🎉Happy New Year, Gaz & Fenz 🐕, I got an SLS kinect camera and an EMF 👻 and have all ready caught stick figures in my house, which is over 200 years old😮 👻 👽 💩
Happy new year to you both.. I have a question have you thought about camping down south, New forest, wild horses and boar ..Burley is good one where witches are..it’s where I live ( although originally from London) but I think great places to camp in new forest ..
Gaz and Fendy. Love these two. You are such a happy man and you make me happy. Fendy warms me all over. She’s just adorable with her little self. I love your videos. Love you to Gaz❤️❤️gonna sit back and watch.
Gaz, we are in Marion County, Florida in the United States and my husband and I watch your channel all the time. My favorite video is when you were telling the story of Robin Hood. You talked in this video of the competition and mentioned Spielberg. We think you could do great storytelling videos! Ever hear of Mr Ballen? He’s great! You could be like the UK’s Mr Ballen, you would be so great at it!
So glad you’re back and hoping you had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! So missed having you on UA-cam! Definitely liking the DJI BETTER! Totally love your laugh 😊
I hope you win your award Gaz but remember just to be nominated for it means that your right up there and a force to be reckoned with. You definitely have a voice now and are heard loud and clear. Good luck
Great to see you back! Hope you and Fendi had a great Christmas and New Year. That tent worries me. It doesn't seem to have any give to deal with high winds, and I think the middle bit would come undone and the tent door would be pulled open snapping the two plastic clips. But time will tell. You know what would work? Telling ghost stories about the area/s you camp in. Most places have ghost stories attached. And you could always try the Screaming Woods outside Pluckley in Kent. THAT would be awesome.
The DJI is better in the dark! We still use original Thermorests (30 years old ) and have slept brilliantly at -10C! As long as you have a decent sleeping bag with plenty of fill under you, you should not need posh "thermal" sleep mats with anything under them. :) Also, do not sleep in your clothes that you have worn during the day. They will contain moisture that your body has given off during the day. Always change into thermals at night to wear in your sleeping bag.
With those white reflective strips it was like ‘X marks the spot Gaz!’ not stealthy, as you said. Never mind. Like your plans, Gaz, hope they all come to fruition!😊
Just wanted to say it isn't all about the fancy equipment and how much you spend. It's about the experience. Nice to see what the average man can afford with all due respect. I watch you because you are enjoyable to watch. You are definitely a good "UTube" personality that can be hard to find here. And who has a dog that cute? Keep it going, enjoy the videos. Happy New Year!
Good to see you and fenzyl again.(hope I've spelt that right)Loving your ideas especially the creepy shorts your thinking of doing. Looking forward to seeing more. Good luck for your nomination you'll walk it.
hey there Gaz, great video buddy, good to see you had a good xmas and new year mate. yeah i purchased for myself a really nice 30 watt portable folding solar panel'' before the prices go up in summer. and another torch.😉 yeah with your tent iv had tents before with breathing openings with no bug mesh and its so annoying when you want to keep it open in the night especially in the summer on the hot sticky nights. great video Gaz and thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍THUMBS UP👍👍👍👍👍 Anthony, Derby
Congratulations grizzly this is Diane from Louisiana I knew you had to your videos are so much better than a lot of people that's on here on UA-cam your videos keep up the good work and thank you stay safe and God bless you and your puppy
Good to see you and that Fendie girl! I too have been down, got C19 from my brother for Christmas. Finally feeling more like myself today. I like the tent and new camera. A major improvement! Try to put tent on tarp or mat to cut the cold, and a wool blanket inside on the floor. I used to pack the blanket inside the tent, just rolled it up. Would be easy, if you are car camping. Happy New Year Grizzly
Hi from Chicago ! I really enjoy your and Fendi on your camping adventures. You treat him so nice. ❤ We have a 26’ KZ Connect Travel Trailer, too old for sleeping on the ground.. 😅but you make tent camping look cozy.
Voted for you. Came across you purely by chance and followed you ever since. You come across as a really nice honest down to earth bloke so best wishes for 2024 pal
DJI is much, much better and I'm glad you don't do sponsors. I pay extra to You Tube to NOT have to watch commercials!! Keep doing what you do. You're very good at it.
I got a tablet for xmas last year to watch your cool camping videos, so no need to go camp myself...your videos bring the camping to my loungeroom 😊😊😊😊 thanks Gaz and my favourite Fendi ❤❤❤❤❤
Christmas...bah! Humbug. As for the films thing, I'm not sure fiction's the best idea. Fictional spooks generally aren't as popular as real-life spooky explorations and the like, and we're all quite happy with your usual submissions. But here's an idea that might scratch the itch: pick a spooky, haunted, or historical location somewhere there in the UK (I know you've generally stuck to Yorkshire, but the possibility of traveling beyond it is always there), go to that location, and camp a night nearby if you can; doesn't necessarily have to be wildcamping. And relate to us the relevant tales or history over the campfire that night. It's not too different than what you've done in the past, I'll grant, but it'll be a rough formula to follow, and it's in the same vein as a channel run by one of your countrymen, the Cotswold Explorer. You could call it "Campfire Tales", or "Lore by Lamplight". I'd surely tune in, and I'm sure the bulk of us would enjoy hearing some history, spooky or otherwise. The idea with the car is good, too, and jives with the sort of expansion I've suggested in the past. I say go for it, funds permitting - mini camping roadtrips! Heck, you could even combine both that and my above suggestion for ease of facilitation! 🚙📖👻
Gaz and Sausage Findell totally love the content. Your measuring stick😂😂zip.. I’m sorry to say but, I love when you get frightened at night. PS I voted for you! It was between you and Beare, but her content is way too short it’s like a commercial. Lol
New camera much better. Hahaha. You're supposed to fix top first then bottom. Errr. I think. Aww findy wants kisses. 😂❤ That camera is fantastic. Really clear. Good luck with your filum making. Can't wait to see them. That gear look good. Love your doggie. Take care.
Great first video to kick the year off with mate! Proper enjoyed that, still a natural on the camera (whatever camera you choose to use). Still an inspiration for me and you have my vote
That’s a really nice tent. It’s sturdy because it’s a storm tent. Disabled veteran with 2 small dogs going to convert my outback into a camper and hit all the national parks, it’s free for us veterans. Keep up the good work.
Hi Gaz, great to see you and Fendy out and about again. Love the idea of the short horror films, think that would be a lot of fun, and also the idea of you getting a van and going a bit further afield. always look forward to your videos, you are such a lovely genuine guy, a pleasure to watch. love your honesty about the sponsors, I feel you always have your subscribers best interest at heart. All the very best for the year ahead Gaz, stay safe and warm, very best wishes for your new adventures, Debbie xx
Hiya Gaz. Love your vids/films on camping although I don’t do camping. I’ve tried three gimbles and returned all three. My thing is steam engines and I want to be in control of panning. None of the gimbles lets me turn off the tracking. Hope you get used to using the DJI. Carry on Camping Gaz n Finby!!!
Great fun video matey. As for the pocket 3 when I picked my up I had some of the same issue as you But if take the time to study it and learn how to use it properly you will be extremely satisfied with it and you will be able to get some great night shots after you change some filter settings. PS... Tent looks cool

G'day Gaz mate , good to see you out and about testing your new gear. Big thumb's up 👍 for the DJI camera , crystal clear picture mate. The more times you use the gimbal , the better you will get use to it . Looking forward seeing your next adventures . Bigfoot hunt investigations sounds good 😮.
About a week ago I decided to watch a video to figure out how to put up the tent I bought for myself around 3 years ago. I’m binge watching your videos and still have absolutely no idea how to put any tent up 😂.
I miss camping!! Due to medical issues, I haven’t been able to trek or camp since 2016. We never used anything fancy when we did but it was sufficient. Back when I was a Girl Scout, we used to camp in winter too, at a Girl Scout camp.
I’ve been working for a couple years with immigration in the US to bring my wife here from Jamaica. She arrived on 12/22 so that was my gift. No camping gear this year😊
I almost purchased that sleeping pad from Kilos gear. Glad I didn't now!!! My local camp shop had the "exped Dura 8r LW" half price so settled for that. Thank you for the great content Gaz

Yeah Mr Ballen is great!
@@GrizzlyGaz You would be too! So awesome at telling a story!
@@JaniceZampa-iw3lo thank you
Great to see you both again. You've been missed. Can you tell us about Fendy's sleeping bag etc please 🙏
So glad you’re back and hoping you had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! So missed having you on UA-cam! Definitely liking the DJI BETTER! Totally love your laugh 😊
Thank you so much!!
Bring another film out! Loving your content from Oxfordshire ❤️🍁😘
I hope you win your award Gaz but remember just to be nominated for it means that your right up there and a force to be reckoned with. You definitely have a voice now and are heard loud and clear. Good luck
Thank you
Fendy ❤ great having you beautiful souls back😊.
Nice to see you back gaz❤ could you not just clue q bit of mesh on from an old tent
It does!
Hey 👋 happy 2024. Nice to see you back. That camera is class!!! Great video! 👍
With those white reflective strips it was like ‘X marks the spot Gaz!’ not stealthy, as you said. Never mind. Like your plans, Gaz, hope they all come to fruition!😊
Nice to have you both back on the box
Just wanted to say it isn't all about the fancy equipment and how much you spend. It's about the experience. Nice to see what the average man can afford with all due respect. I watch you because you are enjoyable to watch. You are definitely a good "UTube" personality that can be hard to find here. And who has a dog that cute? Keep it going, enjoy the videos. Happy New Year!
Thanks for that!
Good to see you and fenzyl again.(hope I've spelt that right)Loving your ideas especially the creepy shorts your thinking of doing. Looking forward to seeing more. Good luck for your nomination you'll walk it.
Got my vote in for yall my friend ! Very easy to follow instructions to vote too. Good luck Grizz & our Fendy ❣️
Awesome thank you!
hey there Gaz, great video buddy, good to see you had a good xmas and new year mate.
yeah i purchased for myself a really nice 30 watt portable folding solar panel'' before the prices go up in summer. and another torch.😉
yeah with your tent iv had tents before with breathing openings with no bug mesh and its so annoying when you want to keep it open in the night especially in the summer on the hot sticky nights.
great video Gaz and thanks for sharing.
👍👍👍👍👍THUMBS UP👍👍👍👍👍
Anthony, Derby
Happy new year to you and fendy! I hope you win the filming nomination!
Congratulations grizzly this is Diane from Louisiana I knew you had to your videos are so much better than a lot of people that's on here on UA-cam your videos keep up the good work and thank you stay safe and God bless you and your puppy
I appreciate that
Good to see you and that Fendie girl!
Rock on!
@@GrizzlyGaz
Yeah rock on is right!
Hope you win, just voted for ya
Hi from Chicago ! I really enjoy your and Fendi on your camping adventures. You treat him so nice. ❤ We have a 26’ KZ Connect Travel Trailer, too old for sleeping on the ground.. 😅but you make tent camping look cozy.
Voted for you. Came across you purely by chance and followed you ever since. You come across as a really nice honest down to earth bloke so best wishes for 2024 pal
Thank you!
DJI is much, much better and I'm glad you don't do sponsors. I pay extra to You Tube to NOT have to watch commercials!! Keep doing what you do. You're very good at it.
You've got my vote Gaz
I think you should be doing a TV series ....always brilliant content and so entertaining..... Fendy ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Vote is in buddy. Good luck. Good to see you back.
I love the new camera. I could see you the whole time. I could see the stars too.
I got a tablet for xmas last year to watch your cool camping videos, so no need to go camp myself...your videos bring the camping to my loungeroom 😊😊😊😊 thanks Gaz and my favourite Fendi ❤❤❤❤❤
nice to see you back
Christmas...bah!
Welcome back great video fair play an definitely the DJi o much better happy new year 🎉
Great to see you both back I've been looking forward to you uploading
Gaz and Sausage Findell totally love the content. Your measuring stick😂😂zip.. I’m sorry to say but, I love when you get frightened at night.
PS I voted for you! It was between you and Beare, but her content is way too short it’s like a commercial. Lol
Definitely agree, it feels like your out for the night with Gaz!
Thank you!
Yippie your back!! Happy new year🎉❤👏🏻
Love the sound of all your plans for future videos 👍
Glad you like them!
Good to see you back. Looks like Santa was good to you . Good video. See you on the next one. Have a great week!
Legend 😎
That’s a really nice tent. It’s sturdy because it’s a storm tent. Disabled veteran with 2 small dogs going to convert my outback into a camper and hit all the national parks, it’s free for us veterans. Keep up the good work.
So glad u and fendi r back and had a great holiday♥️horror is always good.
Your videos are the best. We do hope that you win. Good luck
🤞
Hi Gaz, great to see you and Fendy out and about again. Love the idea of the short horror films, think that would be a lot of fun, and also the idea of you getting a van and going a bit further afield. always look forward to your videos, you are such a lovely genuine guy, a pleasure to watch. love your honesty about the sponsors, I feel you always have your subscribers best interest at heart. All the very best for the year ahead Gaz, stay safe and warm, very best wishes for your new adventures, Debbie xx
Thanks Debbie
Hello from AZ..Love your videos..🎊 Happy New Year 🎊 Glad your both back. missed u
Same to you!
Great to see you two out on a trip. Hope you have a great New Year.
Thanks, you too!
Will do
Good to see you both again 😊❤
Great fun video matey. As for the pocket 3 when I picked my up I had some of the same issue as you But if take the time to study it and learn how to use it properly you will be extremely satisfied with it and you will be able to get some great night shots after you change some filter settings.
PS... Tent looks cool
Flashlights 🔦, zebralight aa headlamp, malkoff mdc aa,surefire mv backup ,sweet illumination covered for most situations qith these 3 alone but I have many buying a new tent soon too
Yaaaay Gaz and Fendy return, happy days 😊❤️😊
DJI is a winner, very clear. The torch is brilliant.
You could always sew some mesh in those vents so you can use it in summer too.
About a week ago I decided to watch a video to figure out how to put up the tent I bought for myself around 3 years ago. I’m binge watching your videos and still have absolutely no idea how to put any tent up 😂.
Great to see you back gaz. We've all missed you. 👍
Thanks 👍
Gaz ...you're the best .... Never ever would I ever go camping but love yours and fendys adventures ❤❤❤
I miss camping!! Due to medical issues, I haven’t been able to trek or camp since 2016. We never used anything fancy when we did but it was sufficient. Back when I was a Girl Scout, we used to camp in winter too, at a Girl Scout camp.
Nice to see you back Gaz and Fendi. Please Leave a link in on your page for us to nominate. Can’t wait for your spooky videos.
It's in the description of this video
I’ve been working for a couple years with immigration in the US to bring my wife here from Jamaica. She arrived on 12/22 so that was my gift. No camping gear this year😊
I almost purchased that sleeping pad from Kilos gear. Glad I didn't now!!! My local camp shop had the "exped Dura 8r LW" half price so settled for that. Thank you for the great content Gaz
Good stuff!
