Battery operated vs rechargeable? Here's our review of a low cost rechargeable option, but I think we've decided we like battery-operated better. Battery operated toothbrushes do not have to be left out on the counter and they also pack a little easier when traveling since no cord is needed. This rechargeable model uses short pulses instead of a simple beep to indicate 2-minute time is up. Maybe you'll like it better than we have so far.

Thanks for noting the battery situation. Three years later and it is still designed this way. I guess this is what I get for buying something impulsively, rather than the more expensive and better detailed version my dentist recommended.

Spot on about the instructions being useless. No charging indicator and confusing instructions about the other models within the 500 series. I have the 3750, I wouldn't have known that until I carefully looked at the box. It's not readily visible and isn't in the instructions. Very annoying. Thank you for this breakdown of this model, way more helpful.

Mine didn’t work, The timer doesn’t work. It was not fully charged. One speed only. I did not like it. I will not purchase again.

I have the pro type , i asked to return it back, oral B such weried company, we pay alot for nothing especial , especially no charger indicator or timer even the charger looks weird

Thanks for clarifying things with this device- it’s appalling that there are no instructions and no way of knowing if it’s on or off- they must have had a day off at the Braun factory the day this was designed. Add that to the fact that in the UK it has a ghastly Euro plug which is useless without an adaptor - more expense- a poor product from top to bottom. I won’t buy Braun again that’s for sure.

If you wanna know if it’s charging then put the brush on and then put it on changing stand it will automatically stop working or spinning..then you know it’s on changing mode…simple

If you put the toothbrush on the charger in the opposite direction it will still charge while being more stable.

Thank you! You saved me the hassle of going through the procedure for a replacement. I thought my new toothbrush broke since it doesn't have an indicator and I kept on charging at the on position after the battery drained.
