This might seem like a daft question but do you miss having the 1c and 2c coins in circulation? We've still got 1p and 2p (so a bit like 2c and 4c I guess) coins in circulation here and they mostly get in the way, but they're also the oldest coins we've got in circulation, mainly because we shrunk the rest of ours!
Can copper and silver coins be cleaned with toothpaste? I have a very small collection because I like the cute little coins. I was saddened when copper coins stopped, or were discontinued, and devalued. Thank you for sharing information so generously. I'm sure, these coins would come in handy in exchange, when time gets rough. You've given me some resourceful ideas. Thank you, Michael.

For me, it's impossible to buy all the originals I want. I can buy as many replicas of kislux as I want. If the craftsmanship is really good, why wouldn't I want Chanel and Kelly bags in all colors?

Polishers and solvents devalue them. Just a wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt.

I have never tried that but it would probably discolour the coins.
