They call him lazy but he has a average of covering more distance per game than any other arsenal player this season, more than sanchez ffs haha. Ozil in the fa cup final did a fantastic defensive and offensive job but haters will be haters.
bal singh look how lazy he was when he lost the ball against Chelsea in the fall cup final for their goal and tell me he isn't lazy. özil covers ground doing lazy effortless runs back and off the ball with no real conviction to actually win back the ball. stats can be VERY deceiving. don't get me wrong he was great overall against Chelsea and did track back a few times but generally he doesn't do nearly enough off the ball!! He is still a quality player no doubt
from what i remember in that game, the only time he lost the ball like you said was very late on and he had ran the whole length of the pitch. It is the one instance that he didnt track back and of course someone points it out, besides that he was up and down that right flank the whole game. Yes i agree that sometimes he can be lazy but that is also because of team members around him not pressing the opposition and he gets frustrated (sanchez does the same thing). If he puts his head into it he can be one of the most hardworking players on the pitch like in the chelsea game. When the team didnt perform for the the middle part of the season he was in a bad place. I personally think with the new formation and the role he is playing, u will see a different ozil next season
It may be pointless running as you say that increases how much distance he covers but this running is him trying to push the team upfield, if u have watched all of arsenal matches u can see he does it often along with sanchez and how they get frustrated

Would you class the assist vs Spuds as an assist. Even the one vs Swansea where he headed it down off the swansea player and gird tapped it in. They did not count for some reason i would have accepted them tbh

yeah!!!! good to know these guys are with the gunners nw......dnt really understand da big clubs.......sancihez/ozil wre great players then got bought by bigger clubs nd wasnt played......careers wre almost broken .....untill mr.wenger came along.....nw they actually playing nd enjoying football again nd guess wht......as soon as they thre quality back due to more game time.....they neva got from barca nd real......the other dogs tht neva worried about thm in da first place come hunting arsenal........why cnt they just stay away leave sanchez.....leave ozil.....they not eating bench wre they are right now......they
