All of these were so helpful. I watched 3 videos in a row. I was having a trauma response, with panic attacks, a tension headache, and nausea. I had to stay home from work. I could not stop my body from revolting against me. This was life changing. Thank you.
I normally find that I’m too stressed and in fight/flight to find benefit from excersises like these but damn dude your voice is so relaxing and I’m yawning away! Thank you for all you’re doing x
One thing I’ve done for stress and lack of energy is at the end of my shower I take a deep breath and hold I and once I kick it to ice cold, I hum low for 20-30 seconds. Longer if I can stand it! If you skip a shower, (and I am guilty.. I think we all can be, put ice packs on both sides of your neck just under the ear and hum.as long as you can. Good luck!

I’m excited to try some of this out and your voice is SO soothing that you could make millions on different kinds of guided meditations! I think people are going to UA-cam especially for guided meditations from relaxing, sleep, nerves, astral projection, spiritual practices and more , (at least I do) and YOUR VOICE is special! This video was great but the things you could do with just your voice could be your life’s purpose or calling. You are truly blessed. Every word that came from your mouth made me melt into calm and follow without distraction. You’d be great doing hypnotherapy as well. And that is becoming very popular too! Ty for what you do. I’m just saying with that relaxing soothing and angelic voice ,don’t stop there!
1- Laughter and even fake laughter. Find something that makes you laugh everyday. 2- Deep breathing. Engage the diaphragm. Exhales should be longer than our inhales. The 4/8/7 breath. Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 8 sec, exhale for 7 sec. 3- Humming/chanting. 4- Gargling. It activates our vocal cords which stimulates the vagus nerve. 5- Singing: in the shower, while cooking, while taking a walk. 6- Pet connection (your own or someone else's) 7- Yawning. 8- Mindful Eating: to be present with our food.
I'm regularly working on self directed compassion and when I start to yawn to the point my jaw hurts, cry, hiccuping, burping, get gas, I know that the self treatment hit the soft spot. Singing helped me to go through a lot of though times.
@@hmmcinerney oh, believe me, they are. I'm singing in a mix generation choir. We are singing at masses, different cultural events, we sing at funerals, weddings, you name it. Many members had difficult times and we helped them get on their feet with participating at practicing, organizing casual meetings after the practice so we talked a little, cried, drank a glass of wine and ate a good food. So yeah, choir is cleaning the soul and helping in therapeutic way both, those who listen and those who sing.
I've had anaphylaxis and now get a lot of anxiety over whether I can breathe. My stomach gets super tense, and I can't find the right muscles to belly breathe because everything is clenched so hard. I think the sniffing/laughing trick might really help me with that! And I am using those calm down buttons in my ears regularly. Thank you so much. 💜💜💜

Somatic therapy is an amazing treatment for c PTSD. I would be so bold as to say it would have cured me however it’s expensive here in Canada and not affordable in the long term for the average person.
Very interesting. When I was a little girl, I used to have my father rub my ear. It just made me feel so good and I can relax and everything. I don't know how I got onto that at all, but I did, and I would ask him if he would rub my ear, and he would usually say yes. Suffer with Gastro paresis and I'm trying different things to help. Potentially. Always best to check with your doctor first. But anxiety can manifest in our body as physical symptoms. I'll do a video in the future about this. Thank you!
If I can improve my vagus nerve will it also help with my digestion, I have IBS. No doubt that my vagus nerve is messed up because of heart palpitations and many other symptoms.

Cyclic sighing is also very effective for calming down and can be combined with the deep breathing technique in the video to enhance it to another level. All you have to do is take another small inhale after finishing the slow inhale.
