Yay, the season of the solo albums and Phantom is in full swing. I am running late watching Phantom. I have not watched it any so far this Sept. or Oct, but I am going to watch it one night the week. Great job on getting more Rolling Stone ad mags, and good luck with the remaining ones.
Can't forget about the old Msrvel Godzilla comics for KISS adds. It's been awhile, but I swear that there were quite a few adds in those issues. I don't have the Paul Lynd special, but do have a boot of the Mad TV Kiss Halloween special so that will be watched soon. I've already watched Attack of the Phantoms and Trick or Treat with Gene a few times. Not to mention Rob Zombie' s Halloween which opens with God of Thunder and young Michael is wearing a Destroyer shirt. Have a great weekend, buddy.
I loved that MAD special. Totally remember the night that aired. Danny was actually at the Dodger Stadium Halloween show that night. I need to watch ATTACK, and get my Halloween fix in. I've watched Part 1, and unlike most of the world, I enjoyed Zombie's Halloween's. And I liked the remake. They lost me with Part 2 though. Seemed too 'trying to make a statement'. Well Pee Wee and Strutter Dog I recall the KISS album adverts more so in Circus, Hit Parader and Creem magazines back in the day. The Rolling Stone mag never registered for my friends and I as it seemed to be more about worn-out 60s counter culture, stuff the 20-somethings in the 1970s were into. October is a good time to remember the KISS solo albums as it has 'Halloween' fun all-over it. My biggest regret of that time was finding a first-pressing Best of...KISS Solo album vinyl LP for $6.99 Cdn, yet I passed on it as I had my eye on something else. Take care and have a good weekend.
How wild would it have been if the Solo Albums were released on Halloween 78?? Idk if that would have helped sales or anything but it would have made for a fun release rollout!! Fantastic video. I love to collect KISS ads. Especially the Rollingstone and Billboard ads because of their size. I also love how the poster in the background changes with every video sometimes they seem themed for the topic. Can’t wait for the next one.

Those adds are just absolutely awesome ric! I found adds for me are just addicting as posters! With adds you have a time period and that is so interesting to look back at specifically! Crazy thing is...we got to hear New York Groove during game one (i think) of the Yankees/Royals Division series just recently. New York Groove was the theme song for the 1978 Yankees when they won the world series against the Dodgers. Memories....also i remember having two of those bags..i should have held on to them.
