- Some of my favorite clips from the last few years on Koh Tao, in particular the shots of the Big fin Squid, Eagle Rays, Barracuda, Whale Sharks, HTMS Sattakut and a recent discover of a Sargassum Frog fish. All the footage has been filmed around Koh Tao in the Gulf of Thailand which is famous as a training island for divers.

This is our favourite underwater video. I put this on for the kids every Sunday evening after they've bathed. The playlist in the back ground is the clincher for me, Anima is such an epic track.

I was working on Koh Tao for almost 2 years in the Diving Industry I must say the video is absolutely amazing. Some of the marine life being shown in the video, i have not seen , or i was just not lucky enough to see. Congratulations to this brilliant video.

Yeah we get them in the Gulf, not so common but you always got to check the sand for them especially when students are doing skills.

Thanks for clearing that up, always thought it was a Pharaoh Cuttlefish I saw while snorkeling on the back side of Koh Tao, more likely it was the Big Fin Reef Squid. The sudden tentacles freaked me out.

Sure is something else than what we have experienced snorkling up near Koh Tao/Koh NanYuan and down at Koh Tan near Samui.
Amazing how many species there is.
But i'm not sure how i would react if a shark suddenly swam past me ;)

absolutely amazing video, thank you for this! was glued to the screen start to finish. i just came back from Koh Tao a few days ago and visibility was nowhere near this good while i was there. i DID manage to see the baby whale shark at Chumpon Pinnacle tho, what a site! your finale in this video brought that same feeling back :D:D cheers.

They swim very close to the beaches and sometimes the young ones even along the shoreline, but its just being lucky.

I usually like better the 480 looks, and don't see much difference between 1080 and 720. Have you tried the Go Pro camera?

If I would use my GoPro Hero 3 Black on this? What would this change about the quality? I think it cant zoom in far enough but I am going to use it though.
