I remember this interview! They were in London for the 1999 Mobo Awards! This came on Channel 4 (UK) that year. You can sense the tension in the group even though they’re trying to cover it up. You can see Beyonce and LeToya get on each other’s nerves.
i dont see tension i see them being tired . they all seem genuine when talking and even had respect for each other , people always say they seen tension but this isnt tension , tension is where u can clearly see people arguing and not getting along they were perfectly fine here

No it’s true everyone who’s looked up their history know fully well Beyonce hated Letoya even before their signing in 97. Letoya was kicked out of the group twice in 1998 with most not even knowing (98 ema performance Letoya was temporarily kicked out then) Mathew has to bring her back both times for legal reasons. Beyonce used to like Latavia a lot more than Kelly, but I’m the end (namely late 98 and 99) Beyonce and Kelly only got along more for business. Secondly they are by no means tired here, their all carefully watching what they say to avoid making division more obvious.

I wonder why the group couldn’t get along? Beyoncé said that they weren’t getting along on the second album which was their biggest album. Letoya/Latavia said that they weren’t getting paid.
It was management. I learned that management are always part of the reasons why so many groups break up because they play group members against each other.

Leem Wills No you’re wrong. Alper is right, they broke up a few months after this interview which was recorded in London in September 1999 where they performed Bills and Bugaboo at the 1999 MOBO Awards and won an award. The group lost LeToya & LaTavia in December 1999.

Truth is and I know everyone loves an underdog story but Beyonce was the most talented out of all of them. They were all good singers but Beyonce was a better vocalist. She was the better writer/producer. And yes of course her family would want to make sure she succeeds. But the others were teens and let’s be real haven’t you met your fair share of teens that once they make it they get lazy? Beyoncé never stopped working and grinding and wouldn’t let up. They weren’t hired by Beyoncé and she couldn’t fire them if she wanted too. Letoya and Latavia were let go from destiny child because THEY submitted separation of management papers hence nulling their contracts. Beyoncé was in this group with these girls from she was 9 years old, why would she be determined to get them out the group, she wanted more shine for what ? When she could just be solo. Letoya was always my favorite no doubt!! From this clip you can tell Beyonce, how do i say, is very outspoken know it all in the group. She looked irritated. They literally had to stop talking and Allow her to finish speaking when she talked while everyone else is just meshing enjoying and joining in on the conversation. But I'm grateful to have witnessed actually meeting them in real life and hearing and seeing Beyonce talk in my lifetime cause no one else will in this generation😂😂😂😂
