Love the amount of detail, just purchased the Mackie Pro FX v3 and have not connected it just yet. This goes along with my DDJ Rev 7 and I cant wait to hear the difference in sound quality. Did a fair amount of research on these and it seems the Mackie (all though a little pricey) seems the best for my needs. Again thank you for the details, and truly a confirmation as to why I made this purchase.
Thanks a lot. I’m already returning the 1202 I just bought and it hasn’t even arrived yet. I’m ordering the ProFX6v3 instead. Your videos have taught me a lot. Respect to you and your videos.
Thanks for the great video, Jordan! I just traded my SoundCraft mixer for the ProFX10v3. The SoundCraft was 13 years old and still working but too big for my current setups. I've done one show with the ProFX10v3 and just love it! I looked at Behringer and immediately turned it down because it didn't have mute buttons on each channel. In my work, those are essential.
Thanks for a great and honest review. Behringer seems to be a clear case of you get what you pay for no matter who you ask (except Behringer Sales people). I went Mackie and have no regrets.
My Behringer QX1202USB Xenyx (the FX option) stopped sending signals to the main out yesterday and today it totally quit working. It was just over two months old. It just sat on my desk and died. I loved the effects in combination with my TD-3. And overall it was working fine. So now I am looking into the Mackie ProFX10. It is two times more expensive but as you said in the video it can take a beating.
Hey man, I was planning of buying the behringer QX1222USB, do u suggest I should go ahead cause I had the soindcraft 12MTK Or the Mackie PROFX12V3, which would you suggest.
You are really very didactic to explain. I was in doubt about which one to choose at first but I see from your explanation that I made a good decision and chose the Mackie. Thank you
At last I find a review for these Behringer mixers that isn't either "Behringer is shit because it's Behringer" or "Just received it, it's great!!! :)" This has been very useful, thanks!
My QX1202 worked fine after 4 years on all channels even in light gigging. Regardless, I sold it and replaced it with the Mackie 10 simply because of the USB ins & outs.
Hey Jordan, I watch your videos every day. I use and own a Soundcraft Signature 22 as my main mixer on my nightstand for my tv, radio tuner, playstation and a sub mixer on my desk, in another room, which is a Soundcraft Signature 16. I also own a mackie 1604 VLZ-4 mixer an old main mixer i updated to the signature 22 back in October. I'm not a big fan on how sensitive the Mackie's sliders are. I also wish they had just kept the white slider finger caps, then move on to the black ones that are like a "wing nut'.
I've owned the q1202 for a little over 2 years after seeing this video and a few others from your channel i will be buying the mackie and im very excited to try out all of the fun features that it has to offer. mostly podcasting and some vocals with guitar and live streaming. very helpful video i have subscribed and look forward to watching more of your content. on a side note has anyone ever told you that you look like that actor who plays Hedwig in the movie Split.
As usual, amazing content! Very clear and informative. You are my go to for audio tutorials. The only criticism I can say is your watermark covers the Mackie when you talk about the combo jacks, so it is a little difficult to see what you are talking about. I can visualize it though because the two channel you can see to the right of the watermark xD.
Hey Jordan! Just got the QX1202 USB a few days ago and tried streaming with it. I tried streaming on UA-cam through OBS, while i'm talkin' to people on Omegle. Problem i've found is that when i hear the people on the site, they cant hear me and vice versa. There's no way i can set up the mixer to be able to monitor the USB line from the computer and also be able to send my mic through USB also, it's either one or the other when i'm using the mixer as an input and output device in my laptop, and that's really frustrating for me sice thats the only reason i bought the mixer in the first place. The alternative to this that i've found is to use the laptop's headphone out and run it into one of the line ins on the mixer but then i get a really bad buzzing sound. My question would be: is the Mackie ProFx10V3 capable of USB playback and input at the same time, while also allowing me to monitor my analogue sources and laptops audio at the same time, without it cutting the USB out to the laptop? Thanks in advance!
i don’t think that you should ensure that everything is on one computer - for example, i use more than a dozen computers in my studio and 3 of them are loaded with voicemeeter software mixers, and the rest are loaded with musical instruments, broadcasts and other service programs - the principle should be this - one computer == one program, then everything will be fine
Is there some sort of output measurement that determines the volume loudness of the mixers? I had the Behringer Xenyx Q1202 and for years cranked everything up on the mixer and my 2 high end keyboards (Korg and Yamaha), and the volume coming out to the mains was not very load. Later, after having a buzzing issue with the Behringer, I saw your video and decided to get the Mackie. Now everything is turned midway, so I have plenty of headspace and volume.
Do you know if the Mackie Mix8 connects to a compute via USB? I can't find tehse informations while I can find infos regarding the Behringer Xenys 802 USB. Thank you!!!!!!
Hey man Love your content, very detailed and precise. I couldn't find videos on mixer consoles that I'm looking for, so just thought of asking. Hoping you could help me out. I confused between the Behringer QX1222USB, vs Mackie PROFX12V3 vs soundcraft 12MTK. I need a console of 12 chanels, considering the price should be less than 35,000 Rupees = 465 USD. Criteria: It's for live performances (CHURCH). 1.USB - for recording. 2.Durable and Good build quality. 3. Controllable output to the usb.
The mtk let's you output each individual channel to your pc/daw, whereas the others have 1 stereo output. If where u are they are the same price the mtk is superior if you want to use fx, plug ins etc in your daw/pc.
I just got the profx12v3 and the headphone output is panned slightly left. The right channel is quieter. It’s really distracting and I’m gutted. I feel like I have no choice other than behringer with the number of inputs I want!
Hmm. Here are some things that you can try: 1) Sometimes this is because of a bad 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. Try another one if you have one. 2) Have you tested your headphones on a different device? 3) Are all of your input sources panned straight down the middle? 4) Does the LED meter show even signal on L and R?
