  • Fatal Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Dead
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed a female in her early-30’s.
On June 18, 2022, at 4:05 a.m., a white 4-Door sedan was traveling westbound on Imperial Highway towards Stanford Avenue when it struck a pedestrian who was walking southbound on Imperial Highway. The vehicle failed to stop, render aid, and remain at scene as required by law. The vehicle was last seen westbound Imperial Highway towards Avalon Boulevard.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the female pedestrian dead at scene. Her name is being withheld pending a criminal investigation.
Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
The public is also reminded that as pedestrians, they should exercise caution when crossing streets, obey traffic lights, cross within marked crosswalks, and obey the rules of the road.
