here are some tips for the part that you are stuck in:
use the drain cleaner in the upstairs bathroom which will spawn something in the basement, then go to the downstairs bathroom and use the lockpick to open the locked cabinet, then use the rubbing alcohol in the kitchen, then burn the rope with a lighter, next, use wire cutters in the basement electrical box and then go back to the save area and the fan will be turned off!
