MULABANDH? for those who dont know what mulabandh is: its nothing but your rectum. When you close the rectum it means mula bandhana. For practice of Surya Kriya more accurately under guiance you may visit your nearest Isha center ,esp. Indians. "Surya kriya" is a further efficient method of Yoga techinque "Surya Namaskar". But if you have problem with the Vajrasana during satnum (like ankle pain) you better start with SuryaNamaskar and Pranayaama to strengthen first and then you can go for Surya Kriya which is a process of raising Kundalini(awareness) or the serpent force. Practice everyday.Its the first step towards higher spiritual processes. And finally thanks to Kimila for bringing awareness.

Thank you for practising. #surya kriya the Sun lriya is a gem. Headaches occur from oxygen deprivation in the blood. So breathe with awareness and remain well hydrated with clean filtered water. Persistent headaches are a liver issue. Check out my Detox course on my website. x

I really liked this thank you. However one small tip. It would be better to allow the viewer the chance to relax more during the right nostril breathing meditation. I found it quite distracting as I was unable to centre myself.

Can it be practiced during periods?
It's wonderful. I just don't know why my knees burn up after the frog, i couldn't do a rock pose after. So strange... any ideas why?
Because its a very intense exercise! The more you do it the more you'll get used to it and it will burn less.
I was once told that it may be because of 'calcium deposits' making knees burn during frog.

Yes, both are very different. Did surya kriya just few days ago :)
This is completely different Surya kriya. I don't know about this, how it was originated, but Surya kriya taught by Isha foundation is quite ancient and powerful. I just radiate. It's very good for stability.
Don't know why she is calling it Surya kriya. She could have chosen some other name.

Usually its done on both sides for balance. However in this case , its Surya kriya (so only one side of nostril i.e Sun) for activation. BTW other side is for Moon.
