The reason the 3rd tamagami calls goku a fair fighter is because when goku disarmed him of the hammer goku was fair in putting his power pole away and go hand to hand.

@@MasakoX I am Just Happy, that weapons gain some Love for once. Usually they are depicted as worthless, and only weaklings use Tools instead of their fists and/or ki, (Like Future Trunks sword only worked on frieza, who was much weaker than Trunks, and noone Else after that) The "heavy Air" also Made vehicles useful again.
Daima might be the only Dragonball series to ever fix the powercreep/Gamebalance, thats been basically non-existent since Z started.
And Goku didn’t use Ki blasts until he saw his opponent could do something similar.
I thought it was funny how they seemed to be using weapons as handicaps. Because Goku said they were going to get serious after putting away the weapons.

The fact that this episode contains one of the sickest fighting scenes ever in the Dragon Ball series without the "atatatatatattaa" makes this episode worth the wait!!!
Agreed, part of what made OG dragon ball great was the choreography. And Daima managed to combine that with the power scaling of Z.
Still miss the atatata though but this is reserved for the dbs anime
It's funny, when I was younger I used to love the "atatatata" because I thought it was cool how fast they were fighting. Now that I'm older, it's so boring and disappointing to see. Fights like the one in this episode and in the Broly movie where the movements are visible but they're still quick and the animation is sharp are so much more exciting.
Yea, the rapid attacks where cool the first 10 times it happened but once it hit the 1000th time it got old. Seeing actually choreography is absolutely amazing
One detail I especially loved was how the Tamagami was practicing the hand gestures for a Kamehameha. It's wordless moments like that that go a long way.
Seeing him practice it and then give them a friendly wave at the end...I love Tamagami #3! I look forward to seeing the other two and hoping they get added to Sparking Zero or Xenoverse 2.

@@anubisgravatate7544 this is connected, even they cover the reason why the name Nahare was never brought up in Super, its because only Goku heard that, and he doesn't feel like calling Shin using Nahare. If Daima isn't connected to Super then they could just have Goku call Shin as Nahare the whole time.
I love how the fight against the Tamagami starts out as a early-Dragonball style fight with martial arts focus, momentum based choreography, and the like, and then transitions into a later-Dragonball (Z) style fight with emphasis on ki attacks and clashes. It feels like an overview of the whole franchise in this one fight.
I don't know why ppl confused SSJ forms. Goku started with base SSJ and then switched to SSJ2 during the beam struggle and that final hit was SSJ2 , where we see lightening and lightening sound effect come into play.

With the animation quality this high as well I doubt it was a character model error, it was clearly SSJ2 to me since it made sense he went and amplified up his power near the end of the beams climax, and we see up close his bangs are aligned with that form.
I didn't notice this at all, it would make sense power scaling wise, since the Tamagami need to be stronger than Dabura who was Perfect cell level, SSJ2 should be necessary to beat them at this point, although I fully expected Goku to win against them without too much trouble, and even believing he did it in SSJ, I was mostly like "well, the power scaling is a bit off but it's no big deal"

The moment the episode zooms in on Arinsu photoshopped in the Majin Buu Saga, that’s when I realized Daima’s built waaaay different. The intrigue in this show just keeps getting better and better and I hope this kind of storytelling continues in future dragon ball main story works
Fun Fact: The actor for tamagami #3 is the JP actor for all might, so seeing him throw hands with goku is pretty amusing
I honestly love what they’re doing with Buu’s lore in Daima, also the potential of another Buu type demon coming has got me glued to the screen. Can’t wait for the next ep!

Didn't Toriyama said in a interview that Bibidi wasn't the creator of Majin Buu, just had the means to awaken him?
If that is true, then this new lore ties perfectly with what he said.
He also saiid Buu was as old as time itself, which doesnt make any sense now

To be fair Buu existence is no issue, the problem was that we never knew who was his creator until now.
The part that confuses me is how that demon has survived all these millions of years unless is with some form of dark magic.
@Flipitmixit Toriyama was a gag manga writer. He never had to worry about continuity before and never planned for DB to go on for 42 volumes.
And he was also overworked.
Man literally made it all up as he went along in a genre that was in its infancy.
Now, imagine that man was asked about lore he never planned in an interview where he had at best a minute or two to come up with an anwser.
It's a miracle DBZ has some semblance of continuity. Asking for anything more is completely unreasonable.
I have a feeling that the internet artists are going to have a field day when we first see the reveal of Majin Tuu.

The SSJ2 finisher was cool.
i was a little worried about Vegeta joining the group because he stands to gain least out of this journey and it felt like he's just here for the fans, but that joke at the end, with Hybiss making Vegeta angry blush and getting him to say please was way too priceless.
I felt some princes Zuko vibes from avatar the last air bender in that last scene.

I agree on the vibes feeling, but I disagree in the respect that vegeta will once again be a growing character. It will connect DBZ Vegeta with family man DBS Vegeta and reinforce the sacrifice he made during the buu saga. As you can tell I'm a little bit biased toward Vegeta. 😂 He is my favorite character after all.
Funny how Toriyama was known for forgetting small details, and yet the series with the most involvement from the guy ties heavily into obscure lore details.

The Tamagami practicing the Kamehameha was one of the cutest things I've ever seen in Dragon Ball.
That and Mini Goku’s “Thank You” and “Yay” were the three moments that made me go “Aww, that’s wholesome”
It kind of mirrors Goku practicing the Kamehameha after he sees Roshi do it for the first time at Mount Frypan.

when i watched this episode. i was in awe. it made me feel like i was watching dragon ball for the first time
I don't think Buu shattered the Demon World. In their talk the old witch (or was it Arinsu) mentioned that that Glinds leaving and deaths of some being related to Buu's rampage. And the three Realms were something already mentioned by Shin in relation to the tunnel sealed by the light seal and Warp-sama system.
Goku turned ssj2 when powering up for the Kamehameha, you can clearly see the electricity and hairstyle change. He then stays ssj2 until he powers down when Tamagami 3 gives up.
As for Tamagami 3’s power, since it was stated that not even Dabura could defeat him, I’d say he’s around fp Perfect Cell level (not Super Perfect Cell) simply based on how easily Goku took him out.
The only reason Dabura put up a fight against an untrained ssj2 Gohan, was thanks to the Majin amp.
However id like to think that the tamagami probably could have fought some more...as goku asked it" you can go more right" and if i recall correctly it said no need... so im thinking maybe its a bit stronger than ssj 2 gohan but still weakee than ssj 2goku

No he didnt. He just learned to become SSJ1 in his kid form. As if he would immediately go SSJ2 when he didnt even really fight in 1. It will be special when he goes SSJ2. Probably against the second Tamagami. Even though it will be Vegeta then.

If you go frame-by-frame while Goku's charging up the Kamehameha, you can see sparks flying here and there as it blends in with the blue of the Kamehameha. During the close up of goku shooting the beam, you can't tell what form he's in due to his hair flying back. By the time that he charges in and punches the Tamagami, though, his hair and aura indicate that he's SSJ2.
If we're gonna cite evidence, though, then Shin stated that Goku fully adapted to the new conditions in the Demon Realm by the start of the Tamagami fight.
@@darrellsimon4462it wasn't meant to say that he still had more power, just that he could keep fighting. He didn't sustain that much damage so he could've kept fighting but he knew he was no match for goku so he gave up

What I have found interesting also throughout a lot of this series is the allusion that Gomah actually has some power - The witch mentions him being "quite powerful" in this episode, in a previous episode it was mentioned that "not even Gomah" was able to beat the Tamagami - so no, not strong strong, but is somewhat capable
I watched the episode with my bro, and we were laughing with glee and yelling at my screen in excitement watching this episode! It's one of the best episodes so far of Dragon Ball overall. I was not expecting the Buu lore and tie in. Beautiful episode, the fight was easy to follow and fantastically animated!

That pose of Goku with power pole in SSJ form was amazing. Is that the first ever Goku transformation WITH the power pole? I need a figure of that badly. Every power pole release is in base form.
Honestly I don’t remember seeing it since dbz Movie 1- deadzone. He put it away when he needed to reach Kami’s lookout for training.
I wish we got to see Super Saiyan Goku using the Power Pole ngl, it was a bit sad to see him put it away immediately. Hopefully later in the series.
Well he did use it to break the hammer, which is why he put it away since his opponent no longer had a weapon.

Most likely, yes. We don’t know how old that old witch is but presumably she isn’t primordial. Bibidi is pretty dang old but doubtful he’s primordial. Babidi was said to be 5M years old so Bibidi and the witch could be much older. According to DBH Demigra was from an age 75MY before time. Would this be a primordial age? Could Bibidi and Buu be from then? I don’t consider DBH canon but Demigra is in Xenoverse which takes non-canon inspiration from AT like DBO characters Fu, Mira, Towa and the time breakers, much less General Bon, Shun Shun and Haru Haru all jumping straight from DBO to DBH. It’s possible.

Buu was not a primordial being
Uts used the term "as old as time immemorial" so its basically just a really long time ago that no one remembers
There were always two contradicting explanations, either Bibidi created Buu or he existed since the beggining of time and was just awakened.
The tamagami's game of find the dragonball reminds me a bit of kid Goku's training with Mr. Popo, which was all about sharpening his mind and perception.
i've been thinking/theorizing that maybe the demon realms is basically universe 0 like the original before the 12 universe we know of today, there was the demon realm
Man, Daima makes the original even better! King Piccolo? A real demon again! Shin? A good character! Majin Buu? A coherent villian! It feels like the missing piece of this wonderful puzzle called "Dragon Ball"
With how smoothly Daima fits as a natural continuation of the Buu Saga, I'm starting to think that the end of Daima is going to fit just as smoothly as a transition into Super, and thus linking Z and Super on a much more intimate level. Also, Tamagami #3 is amazing! I can't wait to see how his Tamagami brethren turn out.
And as to your thoughts on Buu being a 'hunt down the remnants' thing... what if Bibidi's ultimate goal was to eliminate every Glind specifically to target Lord Beerus? Take out the life-linked and significantly weaker Glind, and the Destroyer perishes as well, making the Angel go dormant... and opening the door for Bibidi to potentially go after Zeno? Arinsu, on the other hand, merely wants to rule the Makai (AKA Demon Realm), which (seemingly) connects to all other realms, granting her the greatest possible amount of research material. Either way, it should be one absolutely Mystical Adventure to see how it all plays out.

6:41 honestly I saw it coming because of the coin scene in Hunter x Hunter I thought the entire scene felt like a little tribute to that
The perfect new story with thousands of jokes and jabs.
I have a hypothesis.
Since these Tamagamis were sold to us as being so strong that nobody in the history of the demon realm defeated them, and Kid Goku was able to beat one, it leads me to think back to that wish Gomah made with the dragon balls.
Wasn't it supposed to make them weaker? Yes- HOWEVER, that would make it black magic wish. This was a white magic wish, so it shouldn't have had a fundamentally negative effect, right? Meaning it shouldn't bring them harm in the form of reducing their power? 🤔
It was explained fairly clearly in the episode where the wish was made too. I think it's possible that Arinsu has a Light Yagami tier plan going on, if this is the case.
A little busy right now, but did anyone see Goku react negatively to his strength/speed on display? I remember he commented on his range and size, but not that he was weak. (Not to mention that he has not once met something that he couldn't overcome in the demon realm.)

The place at which Arinsu and the demon witch were making Buu 2.0 essence looks a ton like the Universe Tree from Dragon Ball Heroes

I love how Gokū said "let's get serious" as he was putting away his Nyoi-Bō, implying that weapons are handicaps for him.
Yeah, the Tamagami fight was fun, and the "Find the red ball" game was an amusing addition. And definitely wasn't expecting the retcon about Buu's origins! Not sure Gomah and Degesu are actually aware of Arinsu's plan yet, only that she snuck into the non-demon realm to grab a piece of Buu while it was pulling itself back together after on of Vegeta's blasts. But we'll see.

Tamagami 3 was smooth af with that hammer
Tamagami 3 seemed like a perfectly nice, honorable person, not a ruthless robot beholden only to his programming. I want to hug him so much, I hope the other two are equally as charming.
My big question is what will this new Majin be like because the version of Buu Arinsu took samples of was the Buu fused with the South Supreme Kai. Would the Majin being created also have elements of South Supreme Kai making it closer to Big Buu than Kid Buu? Maybe something that looks and fights like Kid Buu but is friendlier and more easily convinced like Big Buu? What if this Majin could become friends with Goku, turn on Arinsu and help whoever is in control of the Demon World at the end of Daima undo the damage of Majin Buu?
Also found it interesting that Neva has been shown to be allied with the villains and yet his creations want to see if the people collecting the Dragon Balls are good people before handing them over. Could Neva have stayed behind to make sure the Dragon Balls don't get corrupted and to stop the Demon World falling into the hands of evil/worse evil?
Really enjoyed the episode, raised a lot of questions about where the series is going
Did you guys notice the ring on Glorio's finger? Felt similar to the collars that have been used to control the people around there.
Daima feels like the proper connective saga we needed between Z and Super.
I've been loving this series, feels like true dragon ball. Love the pace, the characters and all the new lore.
Goku started out in Super Saiyan, but when he noticed the Tamagami was able to hold the Kamehameha back, he powered up to 2.
It just opens so many possibilities, the emphasis is on buu, who is still alive on earth, then you have Uub, and then Dabura, his spitting technique must’ve been his demon world special power, krillin and picolo came back to life when he was destroyed, will that happen to everyone in the demon world he would’ve turned into stone? I love this series
I personally hope that the new Majin they are trying to create will be similar to Miss Buu( aka Booby lol) from Dragonball Online. It would be hilarious if this is the starting point of the whole Majin race!😂

I think that really big hole that we saw in episode 3 (I think) .. the one that was blocked off .. was from the first Buu just breaking through the levels. The 3 levels were fully separated at first, and then Buu went nuts and broke through the levels.
Since they specifically said that Bibbidi *asked* Marba to create Boo, I wonder what the actual specifics here are. Evidentally he didn't "steal" Boo, but was this like just a magic commission of sorts, or did Bibbidi and Marba have a kinda connection that made her willing to do him this favor of sorts 🤔
Goku had the SSj2 zippy zappys, so I'd say its safe to say he was in that form.
Also I agree that the Demon World Dragons can probably grant Death Wishes. Since in the first episodes they mentioned the Earth Dragon Balls were made with White Magic, implying that the Demon World ones were made with Dark Magic.
Looks like ssj2 for the big finish. His aura had electricity and even the sound effects for it.
In order to determine if Goku is ssj2, you must confirm that he is surrounded by the little zappy zaps

Goku's hair being weird on whether it's SSJ and SSJ2 reminds me of an episode in Super (I forget which cos it's been so long since then) where they gave him the SSJ2 hairstyle with SSB with it being just an animation error. Funny little thing to happen twice.
I think it was in TOP. When Vegeta and Goku were fighting Jiren. The episode in which Vegeta breaks through jiren's defenses and punches him in the gut..

Origins of Buu according to an Old interview with Akira Toriyama:
Q- Ooishi, Naho: "How did Bibidi make Majin Buu? What process was there, what were Buu’s ingredients, etc…"
A- Toriyama, Akira:"Though in the manga KaiohShin said that Bibidi made him, the truth is that one called “Buu” was not actually created by Bididi, but has existed since time immemorial. He cycled between rampages and long hibernation. During numerous iterations of this cycle, he absorbed the evil elements of mankind, becoming steadily more violent. Bibidi merely knew the means of calling Buu from out of his long slumber. Since the current Buu is a slightly different life-form due to the changes brought about when the evil Buu was expelled, it’s not known whether he’ll still go into long hibernation."
Glad that this is changed, the Daima version of the origins is better.
I think we are seeing the evolution of dragon ball through all of daima. First few episodes were much more og dragon ball, focusing on the jokes, chibi, and a grand quest with interesting characters. Now we're switching a bit into Z style with a focus on fighting and a seriousness.

One thing i hope we get in the series that i dont see many people talking about is more insight on how babadi recruited dabura or mind controlled him or what actually went down prior to the events of majin buu. Maybe arinsu helped babadi to take control of dabura and that was part of her plan to become demon king. Perhaps babadi didnt care if she became demon king so they struck a deal. That she would get him close to dabura and then he could take it from there. Im Curious to know if you need a password to use warp . It makes sense that he could use dabura’s password to leave, but how did babadi get out? Was he born there? I love how this series is diving deeper into this universal catastrophe which is the awakening of majin buu and giving us pieces of what lead to it and the aftermath.
BUT MASAKO!!!! lol...Had to. But yeah, with how they made even regular super saiyan in Daima, it was easy to miss the SSJ2 shift. He went SSJ but the burst in the Kamehameha was him going SSJ2, as he was sparking and only had the one big bang and the 2 small ones on the side at the end of the fight. It was a clever way to do it and in line with Daima's surprising smoothness.
I know that Piccolo said that the Namekians didn’t like to be ruled so that’s a REASON why they left the Demon Realm. But what if Majin Buu was the case as well since they live along with the Glind?
I swear Daima has literally been so great, and while I still would’ve like Super being back, I have no bad disregards to any bit of Daima. It brings the fun adventure story that we seen in early Dragon Ball, then we’ve slowly gone back to the martial arts combat that we seen since the first Budokai tournament, and now we’re picking up the pace with seeing what made DBZ such a great series with the transformations (done right) and the ariel ki blast attacks. But now we’re getting so much more that it honestly makes you wonder what they’ll do for future Dragon Ball stories since they said some Daima characters will play a roll later on in future Dragon Ball content.
It's hilariously devious that Arinsu's plan is already in motion and Goku's entire adventure is literally the failsafe. She's so many steps ahead right now. We all thought Glorio was the queen bee, but now he's Plan B! Blorio!
Also it seems the gang are spending the night in a hotel next episode and Hybis was also bringing Vegeta, Bulma and Piccolo to a hotel. Maybe they'll meet up here?
I've been loving Daima so far, way more than Super. Its a lot more cohesive, and while the battles are a smaller scale, the choreography is very good.
I can't believe that we're going to see Dumplin introduced into the series
so at the very end of the fight goku does tap into ss2 for that big gut punch which would ig confirm that ss2 tier strength is where tamagami 3 peaks at

The cup scene is just reinforced to Goku being a fair fighter and even more. He didn't fall victim to his inhibitions or anything else, he concentrated and kept track. That's even more telling than the fight itself. In my opinion, it also tells us that the demon realm is not what we thought. It does have a means to separate the greedy low life's from the altruistic ones. Just the demon realm hasn't produced anyone pure of heart, who hasn't left or been raised there and corrupted.
He used both SSJ 1 and SSJ 2 when he hit Temagami at the End his Aure had Lightnig and his bangs were up so he finished it with SSJ 2
As soon as he started doing the Cubs game I said this will be like the coin game in HunterxHunter. It was going to be in a different location than in front of you. Goku went full Gon! Gonku if you will.

When Goku beat the Tamagami he was in Super Duper Saiyan. There was little zappy zapps and everything

I am 100% sure that Goku was in the first Super Saiyan form for the majority of the fight, and when he powered up the Kamehameha at the end, he powered up further to ssj2. We can see this because when Goku essentially Pamput's him, Goku's bangs are different and he is being surrounded by lightning.
