I grew up in a United Church and never felt the drive to go. Took a class on Catholicism in school and decided to convert and my first communion is this month :)
I'm also became a Catholic as an adult. My Protestant background actually made some of the transition much easier since I already believed in the Trinity and Jesus. My infant baptism in a Presbyterian Church was treated as perfectly valid by the Catholic Church. As a female, Mary has been a gift and inspiration. In Catholicism, we recognize this extraordinary woman her complete faith and obedience to God. Would Jesus have performed his first recorded miracle if Mary had not informed him of the situation,? Not only that, but she actually encouraged him to do something miraculous to fix the problem. Protestants seem to treat Mary as a Christmas decoration. Who do women have as their role model the rest of the year? It's kind of sad.
1. "Everything needs to be Biblical." aka Sola Scriptura, is not Biblical, itself. (2 Thessalonians 2:15) 2. Confessing sins is Biblical. (John 20:23) 3. Not sure what you do/don't believe about Mary, but would be happy to discuss!

What attracted me was the Eucharist which is the Lord real presence of God the most Biblical of all.

John 20 19 23 is confession caller Eucharist 6 51 55 Matthew 16 18
Reasons on becoming a Roman Catholic was poor. Because of Mary and confessing sins to a Priest? Not even Biblical.
