I've just found your videos of you driving around lower BC. I used to live in Castlegar and have driven almost all of the roads you have shown. It is bringing back many happy memories of driving around a beautiful part of the world. Thank you.
I used to live in Trail, BC and I have been over the Creston Salmo Skyway a few times and it's a beautiful drive but doing it in the winter can be quite scary.
Great roadtrip video, glad to watch a video from you once again. Love the wide open views of West Canada a lot, can't wait to drive for myself there in the future. Greetings from a fellow creator from Germany!
My son lives in Creston, and I live in Kelowna. I've driven the Kootenay Pass many times, in fact just drove back from Creston 2 days ago. Nice summer drive, but winter driving can be a real nasty.
My only critique is some music in the background would be a really nice touch. But overall as someone who lives in this area and has been down these roads most of my life I never thought I’d see it in a video format on UA-cam!
I have traveled all of the highways in Southern interior, bit this section called the Kootenay Pass I never had the pleasure of driving, The views very just great.
An excellent video...thanks for this beautiful video and valuable experience. Question...We have driven this route three years ago during the B.C. fires with our new Honda Civic. I found myself in a huge predicament soon after starting the first long decent. With a normal standard transmission I would take my foot off the gas, and put the car into a lower gear if I needed to and finally add brakes if really necessary. My new car has a continuously variable aoutomatic transmission (CVT). During the down hill drive, lowering the "drive setting" to a lower transmission setting had a brief effect but not enough to stop the speeding up. That only left the brakes which I knew would soon overheat. Any solutions besides driving a vehicle with a normal transmission? Thanks
@@SigisTravelVideos There is a book called Tragedies of the Crowsnest Pass. In 1933 90 million tons of rock fell on the town of Frank, mining accidents. ETC. Great book. Might make a good video for UA-cam. The original Indian name for the mountain translated to the mountain that moves but as usual, white people didnt listen. The lost Patrol is another great book about one of the Mounties greatest tragedies.
