Awesome review Detail Master! I will likely blow some more money soon. Lol. These auto detailing companies ought to pay you royalties for the sales you generate.
I let it sit 15 hrs then reapplied the second coat The first one you saw a difference but when I apply the second coat and within the five hours of it curing big difference it’s now been four days going on five days it drizzled over here but not enough I just put a little despots on it I did a quick rinse and it was really cool well worth the money I even used the cheap applicators that you apply wax with Real easy to install really easy
GREAT review and I can't wait to get mine, it comes in tomorrow along with another Roman and my first Sucker Jr towel, should compliment my 2 Suckers very well!
With these ceramic coatings after you apply them, for maintenance, do you still do decon and ferrous metal removal at any time afterwards since they last for a year or more?
Thanks so much for the comprehensive instructions! Will the applicators and towels need to be discarded after one coat? Also, will they last for an entire coating of a whole vehicle? PPE: gloves and respirator? For trim, would it be better to hit really faded trim with say, Solution Finish first?
Please review the new pro grade coatings DPC has made available the top one did say not for beginners but can be bought if one chooses. There are 4 of them along with a glass coating. Last, is Armor still a good product or has it been over taken by cheaper better products?
I'd like to see it vs QP on. maybe 1 layer of both products, and another section with 2 layers of dpc, then 1 layer of qpon 2.0, with 3.0 as the topper.
Great video Brian as always! Just from looking on your video and DPC video of the application of Shield. It looks like the wipe off is not so easy. And it can be that it's applyied on a smaller area than you would do with it when normal application is done and not for the video. Have you noticed if the wipe off the one after the leveling is a more harder to do compared to other coatings? And if it's easier with a thinner application of Shield? I can understand it was made for user friendly with high spots and so. But often it's impact on the removal of transfer carrier that gets harder to do. Gyeon One is also such a coating where high spots are easly correct. But also is harder to wipe of. I think it's a high amount of the transfer carrier that does this. I can be wrong too. Even Meguiars HCW is made for being user friendly and can be left on the paint longer than something like Gyeon Wet Coat or Carpro Hydro2 lite. The problems with HCW is when you spray it on the panel and blast it with the PW. It's not easly rinsed off and spread out like the others. Just some thoughts about it. Gyeon One their entry level coating would be a nice match up with DPC Shield.
Tony Mattisson I am used to IGL Kenzo. Which is a piece of cake. It doesn't take much longer to get around the car with Shield. A littler more care taken while removing... but not much.
When the year is up, does it start to get visibly splotchy when you wash the car so you know the protection is gone? And how do you prep it for recoating? Is it required to go thru all the steps again before applying? Another great vid Brian👍
Hello Brian, great informative video. When the 12 months is up and its time to re-apply another coating, does the vehicle need to be compounded / polished to apply the new coating. Thank you, Howard.
Apex Detail thank you Brian, its very much appreciated. Also can something like CarPro ELIXIR or the Gyeon quick spray detailer be used for touch ups and maintenance IF the DPC Armour is not available, thank you again, Howard
Thanks Brian, was waiting for this one! I literally dropped everything and put down my polisher and towel to watch this as soon as I saw the notification. Looks like a gloss monster intro. coating at a very good price point. If I didn't already have TAC Moonlight in heavy rotation I'd be all over this. I definitely vote you use Moonlight in the comparison video! 👍👌✌
Brian i have an off topic question. I just purchased a torq 15 mm throw da polisher with all the foam pads n every chemical guys polish including the 1 step n swirl remover. I have a neglected never protected swirled car to do for a friend. Should i compound 1st or use cutting polish and what pad should i start with. Sorry new to the foam pads n da polishers used to use rotary n wool. Thanks in advance
Brian I have the Adams spray ceramic coating on my Camaro SS.The shine and gloss is excellent. I applied it September and it survived the winter with proper maintenance. I was going to remove it and prepare it for a new coating.Do you think I should use a true ceramic coating 🤷🏼♂️I was thinking about using something better. I get compliments daily but I know where my love marks are.🤷🏼♂️
Does anyone know where to source those little lockable sprayers? I've seen it used on CarPro Reload and Angelwax H2GO. I'd rather buy fresh unused ones if possible.
I want to see how well it holds up to heat and brine. That shine is really good but from what I’ve been seeing the Titanium infused coatings don’t hold up to heat.
Agree. DPC ticked me off months ago with his cut on Meguiar's and his slide into being nothing more than just self promoting. I don't care that he has his own line of junk but it's the way he approached the market by pretending to be unbiased then suddenly he's very biased. His products are nothing more than a white label of someone else's products with his name on it. No thanks, I'll stick to the big guys.
@@BrownRooster not going to be a proper ceramic in plastic bottles then surely? Ceramic lite maybe like moonlight or cancoat but no way would it last 12-24 months.
Great review. So disappointed this product can’t be flown to the 🇬🇧 UK. Top product , top review you should produce your own range of products Brian, people trust you and I’m sure your followers would be queuing up to buy products developed by your good self. ❤️
Would I need Dpc product for maintenance or would a product like McKees extender spray wax be as good or that type of product? Are you impressed with the water sheeting of this product?
So far bro DPC and Turtle Wax have the best savings for their respective products this year. Scott’s Shield is no joke and Turtle Wax Seal and Shine is awesome.
Would you like to see this product compared to another entry level coating?
TAC Moonlight, CG Hydrocharge, Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating would be my top choices to compare it to
Please compare to P&S Inspiration as there's LIMITED information out there on the P&S. Thanks Brian!

Gyeon Can Coat!
Great review! Not a fan of DPC Armor but the Shield looks impressive. 👍
Nobody does product testing and reviews like Apex Auto Detail. Thank you for all of your hard work.
Scott Weaver actually a lot of people do
Adam has a great point... and it is flattering actually!😁
I also feed Apex Detail is a step above the rest and I enjoy it
Haha the correct pronunciation of “Arse” not “Ass”. You’re becoming more Australian each day. So proud of you buddy. ❤️
Clint L lol. Cheers!
Looks just like Tac System Moonlight. Similar bottle, similar nozzles, similar application, similar longevity.
Yeah, I’m definitely going to pick this up. This will be great for people that don’t want to spend too much on a coating.

Moonlight and cquartz lite, Tac top coat 1.0.
DPC Shield vs Cquartz UK Edition 3.0
1000 ttimes this
Isn’t cquarts a real coating? I thought dpc is not 100% sio2
Kris Hinh Shield won’t hold a candle to CQ UK 3.0. More comparable to CQuartz lite really IMO
My 2 favorite detailing guys/companies in the same video
Chris Hayes I appreciate the kind words!😁
Nice video! Looks like a good product. I would like to see you review the new CQuartz Lite against this coating.

Just use a soap like carpro reset and then carpro reload as a topper

I love your reviews buddy, you did such a good review on a very great entry level ceramic coating.
Thanks Justin!👍🏻👍🏻

Moonlight (as they both appear to be similar in ease of application)

Thanks for the great review. Do you need to ditch the towels after wiping off Shield?
I throw coating towels directly into a bucket with power clean to soak until I can wash later. They are then down graded to door jams and interior

Does it make a big difference if a ceramic coating has titanium infused?
If I ceramic coat a car with cquartz, can I use p&s or anything like that for maintenance or does it have to be something with SI02? Thanks in advance

Without knowing the clear on that car ... start with the orange pad and swirl remover. Test in inconspicuous spot first.
Another great review. Would you say that Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz or Viking Spritz could be used as a maintenance topper for DPC Shield?
Eddie L I would maintain with DPC Armor.
What’s the best way to remove dust that gets on the car between coats? Spritz water and wipe off or a quick detailer?

another awesome video again good friend. 🍻🍻🍻🍻thanks u answered my question .
Confused. What's the difference between shield and armor?
Shield is a ceramic coating, Armor is a Si02 spray on paint sealer
Can this be used on glass? What about Armor?
I want to see how well it holds up to heat and brine. That shine is really good but from what I’ve been seeing the Titanium infused coatings don’t hold up to heat.

In our area Brian how long would two coats last 12-18 months?????
That is my guess. I am testing that aspect as we speak.

Is that a plastic bottle Brian? If so I highly doubt it would last the stated 12/24 months.
