I want to share a story into the void. Over the summer Bohmer was at Electric Forest. It was my 5th time attending the festival and it is by far my favourite place on earth. The year before I had a terrible year. My best friend since grade school came with me and made it all about him, our friendship almost didnt survive, and on top of it I hurt myself pretty bad too while there by stepping in a hole. This year came around, I got tickets, but wasn't feeling it like years prior, like the magic was gone. The day before I considered selling my tickets and just skipping it. My girlfriend talked me out of it, and I decided to go. Ben played the very first night, but Everything Always was on at the same time and we wanted to see them the most. About 20 minutes in we weren't feeling it so decided to leave and I began to think it was a mistake coming, maybe the magic of that place really was gone. We ended up at Ben Bohmer, an artist I didn't know much about. Immediately the music started to take a hold of us. We took our shoes off so our feet could get out of our shoes after so much walking and feel the ground beneath us. We laid down and listened to his angelic music, while watching the thousands around us let go of their normal world problems and just be free. We stood up to enjoy the rest of the show and he finished with this song. I have never had a song evoke the emotions in me this song did, and still does. It immediately brought back the Electric Forest magic, and if you've ever been there you'll know what I mean. Thank you Ben for showing me the magic is never gone and healing what I didn't know was broken.
