The 3rd Person mode almost feels like a different game. I love that there are different tactics and different builds that work best in this mode.
Also for those that don't know, you can play the co-op in 3rd person too by selecting the option in the start menu while playing.
tbh the 3th person mode on the map in the video really reminds me of rogue company
This mode is soooo underrated, it brings fresh new wind into cod.

This mode feels like taking a trip back to the heyday of SOCOM. We need more tactical shooters like this.

SOCOM and GRAW 1&2 were the good old days of third person tactical shooters. I wish they would bring them back.
This is the best 3rd person shooter since confrontation. All they have to do is add search and destroy so it’s no respawn.
The graphics, animations, and gun play for third person is extremely impressive and is almost a different game in and of itself
Being able to look around corners feels so good. Makes me miss the old Ghost recon and Metal gear online

3rd person mode is really fun and I find it a lot easier to do most camo challenges too.

@@TheOnlyKontrol Some people do not play 5-7 days a week for hours on end haha. A lot of us sit down for a hour or two and just play casually

Looks like a completely different game. Love how many modes they have available at launch but I really do miss hardcore 😭
Hardcore / Tier 1 will definitely make the grind for some of the "meh" guns a lot easier!

Delaying Tier 1 Mode will give it a proper spotlight upon release and changing the name will encourage more players to join.

I found both boring and repetitive, but the atmosphere and setting are almost unmatched.
Which is why I love it. Reminds me of it and i played it a lot so the switch was really easy to get into
MORE 3RD PERSON CONTENT, PLEASE! I love watching you play in this mode.
They should make a game mode where you need to teabag your opponent after a kill or it doesn't count like Kill Confirmed.

Yes on the more 3rd Person Shooter bc I used to play 1st person back in high school but just been playing a lot of 3rd person shooter games but to me in 3rd person you can see where you’re going, seeing your surroundings, the characters as well, even in the game they should give you the option to play in either 1st or 3rd person bc to me when it goes to 1st person is when you’re gonna use your sniper rifle then when equip your handgun it returns back to 3rd person unless when you have an assault rifle that has a scope on it then it returns back to 1st & when don’t use the the scope on the assault rifle, it stays in 3rd person mode through out the entire game as well on the campaign mode, too

Eh any mode without respawns in 3rd person would just be everyone hiding behind cover using the camera to peek everything

Bro I’m telling you. 3rd person gets the bare bones as we only get a few maps and modes. It deserves to have every map and mode FPS has its so good.
Third person is life, especially with some music on like you had at the beginning. It is such a different feel and so freaking fun!

I thought I was the only one who loved this 3rd P view. Glad the community is loving it too. This mode is excellent to help with the harder challenges on weapons you might not be good at in 1st P view.

I use to play 3rd person competitive cod on game battles in mw2 and mw3. It was honestly the best. I am so hyped that they have brought it back in an actual game mode instead of private mode like it was las seen in mw3. Trust me your going to start seeing third person competitive again in cod!! I’m hyped
As a fellow night owl, I'm so much more productive in the early hours as it's less pressure from other in a weird way, its like no one else is awake and I can go at my own pace to do things. much like watch your vids normally, Keep em coming :)
Yeah maybe b/c there isn't much to do during those hours, everything is closed and nothing on TV.
I love the new style of this game. It doesn’t feel like a tryhard simulator (in my experience) but an actual tactical fps (or tps) game
Please do more MW2 content with the FAST squad and Jack! Maybe do some SnD with handler and friends again, as well!

3:24 A loooong time ago, Rainbow Six Vegas came out for PC, and my cousin and I LOVEDDD that game because the cover mechanic made the game AWESOME.
Coop is my favorite game mode out of Single and Multi. So that Summer, I drove to my cousins house every day with my entire PC, so we could play the entire CoOp together.
It was such an awesome carefree, tweenage Summer.
While it was one of the hottest Summers for us, his bedroom was the entire finished basement. So we blasted the AC, turned off the lights and gamed all day in the cool basement.
I think that if Rainbow Six Vegas DIDN'T have that cover mechanic, I would have never found it interesting.
if there was cover system for 3rd person, i think it would be just like the division. So far ive been loving it

It vaguely reminds me of the old SOCOM series or Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter but obviously at a much faster pace

Also did you notice how at the end of the assassination animation the camera goes back to being first person for a quick sec... That's a thing for the developers to polish

This does look interesting, I mean it's nice to have the option, but the main thing I don't like about it is being able to peek corners without exposing your body at all...but this could be fixed with a tighter camera angle, atleast make that an option for those of us who don't like that. Still I'm interested in trying this!
THIS. Dude I vehemently hate skewed 3rd person camera that doesn't let you switch shoulders. Think about it. When the camera is fixed to the right shoulder, you have an advantage ONLY with looking around a left corner... and you're severely gimped when looking around a right corner, cause you practically have to put your whole character out... to see around your character.
So many games use this angle and I just can't stand it. Either go 1st person, or have a centered camera with a camera control stick like Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Mario 64... etc. At least Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid 5 let you switch shoulders to alleviate this problem.
I forgot this mode was a thing and tbh, this looks like WAY more fun.
Hope they give us a WZ2 option like this.
While I still prefer playing in the usual first person, gotta say it's definitely a nice change of pace going to this every now and then. As many people pointed out, it almost feels like an entirely different game.
Almost makes you wish they actually took the GOOD ideas and make a proper new game instead of Frankensteining a cheapened version on to some big game that'll never take advantage of the ideas.
I've been saying division needs a little movement update, some crouching maybe a dive and or prone. The people that made third person look this fluent deserve to have their ideas credited but they probably won't.
Honestly the best thing in Multiplayer, it feels like a different game, yet it has the old feeling of COD where you don’t have to sweat your balls off just to get a UAV

Well then everyone would run around in 3rd person because you can physically see more of the game which is always better.

I'm loving the more tactical gameplay. Would be great to have Warzone for the over-the-top weapon skins and arcady gameplay and keep this one as a more gritty, tactical-ish shooter.

They have the potential to make a totally new game (beyond the classic Cod), I think the character moves in third person are pretty much outstanding. Now imagine a game with different stories (or even open world) like Wildlands, but from Activision, even with different contexts, it would be great.

4:16 used to happen anytime I tried multiplayer years ago. Run around the map for half the match, find no one, but immediately eat shit when I did find someone

3rd person peaking is an easy way to dismiss 3rd person as a competitive game mode, but id argue it makes it more competitive. Mainly due to the fact that you have to take into account other people having 3rd person peak advantage and play accordingly, knowing the best routes to take to stay hidden from certain angles. Its almost like playing chess, you gotta know where your enemies can possibly be and play a few steps ahead.
You can adjust settings for 3rd person mode to ads 1st person

Tomo - I'm the same as you. Nocturnal. If left to my own devices, and I have no one else's schedule to answer to, I rise between 9-10AM and get tired around 2-3AM, with some of my peak energy happening around 9PM or so.

I totally agree with your standpoint on clearing rooms when you start getting a lot of contact you want to start moving slow that's how my KD ratio is done got better and I have to play with high sensitivity so I can be able to turn around on a dime

GRAW was my first multiplayer shooter. This hits home
Playing the division and division 2 gave me a major advantage over other players. My kills in POV were like 15 to 30 at most. But after doing 3rd person man my kils where from like 35 to 45 with like 8 to 10 deaths.
Since I played Gears of war from very 1st franchise series I too have more advantages on 3rd person mode I cannot reach kill streak which VTOL present on normal 1st person view but in 3rd person I can reach Gunship support 😂😂😂

Thank God they put this mode on the new modern wonder warfare 2 because I love games in 3 person view I really never enjoy this war game on first person view I feel like you pay all this money to see 2 hands a weapon plus make it look cheap and you are a beast playing I also got addicted to the ghost recon breakpoint and ghost recon Wildlands looking forward to try this game looks so much fun now 🔥👍
People forget that 3rd person was in the original modern warfare 2 but they took it out in the following titles. I'm just happy they brought it back.

Tbh I've never been very enthusiastic about 3rd person(fortnite) shooters or Gears of War, but I was surprised at how smooth it was on Mw2. I actually figured out you can do spec ops in 3rd person also lol
Well, this isn't the first time 3rd person was a thing in CoD. Remembering original MW2 with 3rd person a decade ago, anything akimbo and fast firing worked like a dream in close quarters. G18s was my bread and butter in that game until people decided not to play it anymore...

I also love it... but it's almost impossible to push against "wall campers"... they see you coming but you can't see them... kind of a huge disadvantage for those actually moving around the map.

What's interesting is that I find that the map feels more empty when in 3rd person mode. I ran around the map 2-3 times in a row even running away from my team to not see anyone. But when I'm in first I can run straight through a map and see someone quicker. It's weird...

The third person is so great to let you appreciate the work that has been done to the animations, previously you were obliged to look at teammates to appreciate that now you can look at your own character which is awesome

I only played my first FPS MW2 game yesterday doing a ground war, i've been playing 3rd person since the beta. So glad they brought this game mode back. It's all I played in the OG MW2.

Idk if yall knew this but there's games like division 2 and ghost recon breakpoint that has 1000x more content and stuff to do. And doesn't cost 70 dollars. I feel like they could drop a game called cod walking simulator and people would be like whoa, you can literally just walk around in cod this is so amazing.
