- That memorable silent movie 'Bolero' sequence in Legion‘s seventh episode wasn’t supposed to be a silent movie sequence.

“Sometimes huge things are done in the editing room,” Noah Hawley told EW’s Dalton Ross at the Comic-Con studio Thursday. “So episode 7 has the silent movie with the cards - that was all added later. When you guys were filming it, you had no idea that I was going to take all the sound out and put the silent movie cards in. That wasn’t in the script.”
And Hawley didn’t know, either; it wasn’t until post-production that he realized taking the sound out of the scene worked well with what was happening in it. “It’s fun, it’s a playful show,” he explained. “I like that about it, that there’s a certain amount of just whimsy to it. … We don’t take ourselves too seriously.”
The interview, above, also features stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, and executive producers John Cameron and Lauren Shuler Donner joking about how confusing the show can be and remembering their favorite scenes from season 1.

Now that he mentions it, Legion does inspire excellent fan art. Like, I’ve seen beautiful fan art of other shows/games/movies/etc but because it’s a weird show, the fan art is just as crazy and wonderful.

Scott Louis Legion and American Gods were my favs. this year. For totally different reasons. But both did new things that are going to be copied and will influence every genre of episodic tv for years.
Yup and Fargo suffered for it. Season 3 was meh,at best.
George Tarantino i disagree Fargo season 3 was great. I think that it had a lot less crazy events and more talking but i absolutley loved the characters and Varga is so disgusting he's just such a fantastic villain. Its not as good as season 2 but for me its on par with season 1

I didn't like the female Cary character. Her fight scenes were really unconvincing. I wish they got an actress who knew martial arts. I just didn't buy it. Reminded me of Season one Buffy.

To start an interview by saying "I don't understand most of your show..." is basically saying "Fuck you." Legion is profoundly easy to understand.
Samuel Patchin He said he personally doesn't understand not that the show is hard to understand. And it does take some extra mental effort to get what's happening especially in episode one.
Way I see it is more of early episodes don’t know what state he is in, as get later into episodes becomes clear what is real and not real as issues get resolved.
Literally said he likes that he doesn't, why is this getting a y upvotes.
