Shit, I can’t believe I’m still hooked on this game. I haven’t played in 10+ years but this level IS COMING back to me clearly.
I got this far before I never knew what the wrath was....that litle fce thing that apeared in the uper corner or that giant bat looking monster.
OK Do ANY of you know WHERE the SUPREME FLASK IS and which creature drops it?! I know, I can't even find anyone who has ever heard of it out there since 1986! People only seem to know about the Hale, Abye, and Thews flasks...but there was a Supreme Flask I encountered by an error while playing this with the COCO3 and was able to reveal it but not use it before a Knight with a Shield suddenly appeared and killed the player. It was either on Level 3 or Level 4 or 5 after beating the Wizard's Image. Does anyone have any information on this? There is literally nothing about it online with Google, Yahoo, or any other search engine. If anyone knows I'd appreciate it. I wanted to ask the original developer about this too, because I've looked at the source code for the PC port and it does NOT have it there!
The Wizard on Lvl 5 has the Supreme Ring, that is all I know.
I think the first time I went down to level 3 I was more concerned with where it all ended than what I would be fighting.
Ah, playing the lazy way by dropping all your items. I suppose you're one of those people who tethers the spiders on level 5. Jeez, why even play if you're going to do it that way?
Yes, it is possible and I've done a few times. I change my play style depending on my mood, and the willingness to stay stuck to the monitor all the time :-)
I never knew about that trick when I beat the game back in the day. You just had to play smart and use a lot of Zsaves. Of course reloading the saves was highly prone to failure and getting the cassette unit wasn't cheap. I tried as a kid but could never get past level 3...but I had no idea that the Wizard's image was immune to physical damage. When I got to college I finally beat the game and it was such a rush...best gaming experience I've ever had before or since. :)
