A Big shout out and thank you, to the choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, and the Ceylon Bible Society. The first time was sung by the choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour at the Ordination of Bishop Dushantha Rodrigo, and the second is from the Ceylon Bible Society's youtube channel.

Very interesting information, do you who compose the Hymn for Ceylon in which year?. The John de Silvas danno budunge song which has the similar tune suppose to have composed by an Indian in 1903.

Deva Surya Sena is often credited with writing and harmonizing the music for the Hymn for Sri Lanka.
John de Silva did a drama Siri Sangabo in which there was a song Danno Budunge. Danno was written by John together with Pandith Vishwanath Lauji (an indian).
The tune is very similar, but not the same. We can definitely say that he got some sort of influence from it.
