The big issue is that, in this whole equation, only one person is being held accountable for the shit that they say or don't say in some cases. People will hop on their preferred social media platform and say things like "Dom is just a toxic NA hater" or "TSM is gonna make it out of groups because they have had a mentality change" and nobody is gonna hold them meaningfully accountable for the things that they say. In Doms case, Every word that leaves his mouth is scrutinized and held to an extremely high standard and, to be honest, there is really no good way to fix it. These people enter these discussions with the hammer cocked and literally nothing is gonna convince them. Reddit is just a shithole and always has been since I started watching in S3.
I agree with what Dom says and all but the thing you're describing is not something that is supposed to be fixed. This is Dom's job, we're all his critics. I do think we need to give up one year of international competition and just sign a fuck ton of rookies and develop them. We most likely won’t have a chance in worlds 2021, but it would put us on the right track and we could have NA teams with actual NA talent.

The thing that people mean when they say NA is doomed is that LCS was awful this year and the overall level is disgustingly low.
Going 3-3 in groups does not somehow absolve the region of coinflipping half their games on dragon all year long and throwing unlosable games.
People don't get that Dom is harsh on NA because he WANTS them to do WELL .... and he might be trolling or overacting some of his reactions to his takes..... but in the end if you don't think he was right for most of the year about NA especially, you are just blind to the truth.
Let's just be honest, NA people are just thin skinned, they can't bear to hear they are trash at something. But to get better you have to realize that first.
These people don't go outside so they have 0 social skills and they are emotionally invested in shit that doesn't even matter. That's why they play League.

@@joaquinchua3348 I think the issue is it has almost 5M subs to the subreddit and that means that the type of content Dom highlighted is what is seen at the very least by users even if they don't interact with it. For example I use the league sub but I barely interact with the content outside of reading it.

This is just honestly only something ive seen from NA - i think some people in NA struggle with being able to take that they arn't the best at everything. It's like the people who say 'NA never lost a war', 'Who was the first to land on the moon' as a response to any criticism of america. In eu we learn a lot to be able to make jokes at ourselves and be realistic about defeat and faliure - look at g2's recent 'state of the west' video, even though that was made as a hype video for g2, it was still pretty full of some self-depricating humor. And before everyone gets angry at me, note i said SOME people in NA - i in no way think that it is the majority, just a vocal minority who screw it up for the rest of them - and i am in no way saying that there arn't people like that in EU too, it's just an observation of general trends.
If you ever wanna counter that "lost a war" point, as it's typically the US that says that bring up the war of 1812 where the forces of Britian, Canada, and First Nations burned down the White House because they lost. Or Vietnam. Or Desert Storm. Whole bunch of examples of them losing that they don't care to bring up.

It’s a weird culture thing here. The idea of being wrong or not being top tier at something and admitting it is apparently a fate worse than death.
Which also might explain the overly timid play by a lot of teams. Too afraid to take a risk and have it fail. It makes no sense to me. Once you’re honest with where you’re at, you can begin to make progress if you want to get better.

I still can't believe NA believed that they are actually good region after just play ins. The same things happend after groupstage where they mind fuck themselves into believing that FLY and TL actually did well (imho FLY did really bad, TL did okay).

Imo FLY did alright considering the group they were in. I'm not an LCS viewer, but from what I saw in groups I found that they adapted the best out of the NA teams especially in week 2. Broxah's jungle pathing was incredibly horrible compared to the other junglers at Worlds
