  • In my first six months of 3D printing, I've focused on honing my skills by creating action figures inspired by TV shows, movies, and games. From mastering design software to fine-tuning print settings, it's been a rewarding journey. I've experimented with intricate models, learning how to balance detail with functionality, and each new project has pushed my technical abilities further. It's also been a joy to share my creations with others, creating content around my work and reading the feedback from viewers. Their reactions have fueled my passion and inspired me to keep improving.
Looking ahead, I have big plans to take on more complex designs, experiment with new materials, and even create custom figures of my own. The possibilities are endless-and with 3D printing, the only limit is imagination!

How do the ball joints in these figures hold up over time? I've seen that as a big limitation in resin printers and I wanted to know if it's better wirh fdm.

The Dummy13 @ 250% scale has great rigid ball joints months later. In my experience the bigger you print the worse it gets. I had best result with patches of gorilla tape in lose ball joints for more stiffness.

@@3D-PrintTherapy thanks. I always looked at resin printers for the great detail work, but fdm printers look awesome for action figures.

@@frankdoublemint2453 A little bigger print with FDM is almost the same quality as resin print nowadays. Resin is way more complicated imo. But I dont have resin printer yet.
