Another great one. I think you nailed the balance between time spent and result on the miniatures. Love as well the variation options at the end so they do not look as they came out of the kroot assembly line. Will you be doing more short ones too? I think there is a massive niche to be taken there since gw stopped doing the couple of minutes long one on a specifid topic. Take care !
I don't think you've done it yet, could you please consider doing a video about skin tones with contrast paint? Like, how to have various dark and light (caucasian, asian, etc.) skin tones but with the contrast paints doing most of the work? Thanks and also thanks for your content in general, it's a great help for people like me who don't have much time and want to use Contrast paints to speed the painting process and still have satisfying results. :)
Hi my friend. You delivered the goods as promised. Really good tutorial and it will come in very handy. Kroot looks awesome. Thanks again for another winning vid. Take care and keep safe my friend. Kind regards Ian 👍😎
No I used Black Templar - the older paints have been moved to the newer formulation from what I can see - the latest versions of the original line work a lot more like the newer releases
@@ThePaintingCoach Interesting! Maybe it'll look better on Kroot, which are smaller and less flat, but on my Crisis Suits and XV25s and brush strokes are really obvious
@@ThePaintingCoach Any tips for that? Cuz I like the automatic effect of the contrast paints. Should I just use layers and nuln oil for large flat bits?
Really like the demo of the different greens.
Cheers Tom!
Very quick and effective. Thank you for the green demo at the end, which is really useful.
Cheers Christian!
Still great for the new Kroot too! The gutrippa flesh demo at the end won me over to using that for my Kroot.
Cheers - I've got an updated one recently released as well!
Thanks a lot! Also interesting to see more abt ork colors Mortarion Grime-Kroak Green-Mantis Warriors Green-Gutrippa Flesh.
Fantastic demonstartion of contrast paints on kroot.
Thanks! Updated version here ua-cam.com/video/YE9zz4zQG4o/v-deo.html
@@ThePaintingCoach Oh thanks. Will check it out.
Thank you for constantly putting out stellar content and tutorials. Always look forward to your next uploads.
Glad you enjoy it!
And the hits just keep coming out. Yet another fantastic video.
Cheers Rob
Brilliant video, inspired me to get my Kroot with this method and got it bashed out nice and quick. Cheers!
Awesome!
These look amazing! I'm looking forward to picking these up when they finally are available
Cheers!

Cheers JM! Yes when I get time!
Just finishing my traitor guard up using your video, these will be next up on the paint table. Very helpful, thanks so much
Glad it all helps!

Is it possible to mix contrast paints effectively? As in could you mix two of the greens to get more variations?
Yeah i think so - test it on some spare parts!
Bro this is perfect! On point as normal!
Cheers Gareth
i use plague bearer flesh with biel tan green shade over it, but now i see that militarum green has roughly same effect
Suggestions on a complementing base scheme for this paint job?
Generally something dark if you have painted a bright miniature
Thank you for the great tutorial. I’ll be painting my Kroot this weekend.
Very nice
Big question here, how would you do a grey-ish green?
Try mixing some kroak green and a little soulblight grey
Could you show us how to paint different Ork clans like the bad moons?
No plans to do it soon but I'll add it to the list! Check out my contrast orks video - and just replace the red colour I use with the relevant one 👍🏻
What size brush do you use when doing the edge highlights?
A size 0 usually
what are u using to hold the minature? is it a plastic cup and bluetack?
Either that or a redgrass games holder - whichever I have to hand!
merci beaucoup
You mentioned new formulation for black Templar. Did you actually use black legion?
No I used Black Templar - the older paints have been moved to the newer formulation from what I can see - the latest versions of the original line work a lot more like the newer releases
@@ThePaintingCoach oh good to know! Thanks!
Brilliant! 👏👍
Thanks Henrik!
Does this tutorial still work if you only prime them Wraithbone?
Yeah will be fine
@@ThePaintingCoach Excellent thank you!
How do you get the perfect amount of paint on your brush? Im struggling with obvious watermarks and not being able to move poorly pooled paint
When I take it off the palette, i twost and drag - if I using thin paint I'll touch it on a paper towel too
@@ThePaintingCoach Interesting! Maybe it'll look better on Kroot, which are smaller and less flat, but on my Crisis Suits and XV25s and brush strokes are really obvious
Yeah contrast is not great over flat areas unfortunately
@@ThePaintingCoach Any tips for that? Cuz I like the automatic effect of the contrast paints. Should I just use layers and nuln oil for large flat bits?
Yeah I would - it will look better - unless you use one of the new single pigment ones - check out my space marine speed paint videos to see
hello! Can I use black primer instead of the white shown in the video?
No the contrast paint won't show over black unfortunately
how did you prime?
Wraithbone
@@ThePaintingCoach Sorry i didn't specify, i meant like spray can etc.
No worries - yes wraithbone spray can 👍🏻
@@ThePaintingCoach Awesome. Thank you!

Krooooooot!

Gracias Pablo!
