    Use the rolls of plastic wrap used for gift baskets. It’s fantastic. The last bowl I did on my channel I used it for the first time and I was blown away. Super shiny too.

    Beautiful! I just found your channel today, and I have a strong suspicion that tomorrow will be spent binge watching your videos. I’m new to working with resin, and I’ve only been making tumblers so far. I’d much rather be making beautiful works of art like yours! They’re very inspiring and peaceful to look at. Thank you for sharing your talent!❤️

    This is supposed to be a stress reliever and I think the recording is causing you a lot of stress so have you thought about just filming yourself and then doing a voice over later explaining the steps you took. I think this will give you a chance to relax more and get back to enjoying your work. You're way too hard on yourself, btw!💜

      I agree. If a voiceover is done after the fact, it doesn't matter about playing the music while working. I personally love working while watching horror movies. I know that's not for everyone but it's the main reason I don't use video. I may start. Great idea!

    I saw someone use polyurethane drop cloth because she had the same issues you did with the cling sticking. The drop cloth polyurethane one pulled right off. I found a roll at the dollar store and it worked for me.

    Your sticking problem may be confounded by using a torch to heat resin instead of using a heat gun. A torch will wreck everything except wood. Try a heat gun for bubbles instead of a torch.

    I just found this video and you may have figured this out by now - 11 months later! - but many creators do their videos without audio and then they go back and add their audio explanation later. This should allow you to enjoy your music without any disruptions. BTW, I am so happy I've found your channel, you create lovely pieces!

    beautiful. i've found that the heavy painters drop cloth works well with my pours. I use two layers. Comes on a giant roll so a great value

      I bought some but it had a dull finish with a bit of a pattern in it so it wouldn't work with my pours.

    If you're too afraid to heat the resin to pop your surface bubbles on your plastic and possibly melting it, try Isopropyl alcohol 91% or higher...put it in a mister or spray bottle with a fine mist and spray it over the surface to help pop those bubbles if you don't really want them. But like you, I think it (the resin bubbles} lends well to the sculpture.

    Hi Sandy, fellow Canadian here. I am living my best life ever on the beautiful island of Cozumel. I just returned home from Canada and brought some Art Resin with me. I am interested in doing some bowls. Just wanted to know, how do you calculate the volume you wlll need. The resin is very precious, as I cannot purchase it here on the island. Any helpful hints you have would be appreciated. I love your bowls and all of the resin projects that you do.

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  2 роки тому +1

      It has been trial and error, still is. For the bowls it is about 6oz a layer. And I am jealous of you living on Cozumel!!!!

    To get rid of bubbles without risking burning the plastic, I've seen people spray 99% rubbing alcohol onto it and it pops the bubbles up til the alcohol evaporates, even bubbles still coming to the surface. Pouring Your Heart Out sometimes uses it.

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  2 роки тому +1

      Yes I have used that method since, although it doesn’t work for everything because it will disperse the colours in an odd way and if you’re trying to create a certain look it can disrupt that.

    • @SandyBeachBumTM

      Most shower curtains have a pattern in the plastic. My dollar store doesn’t carry smooth ones that are also clear. The do carry plastic table cloths that are and I buy those.

    Why don't you use earphone to listen to your music and that way you enjoy yourself and youtube can't say anything about infringements and you can also add a comment or two. Oh, try a silicon pastry brush to drag it out instead of a stick. Good luck and thanks for sharing!

    If you wanted to look in the bowl and see the shells shouldn’t you put the shells before and poured the sand over it so they would be on the inside? I’m with a.m. I think you should film it and then voiceover, that way you can listen to your music, and not be so stressed out.

    I was told that one was not to bring things as sand, rocks, plants, shells etc. from one country to another due to cross contamination of biologicals. It is illegal. We are not even supposed to brings things from other provinces, maybe this is just a Saskatchewan thing.
