yo gorf, not really related to this montage but I've been watching your trolldier skyguy montages (rlly hyped for 6 to come out btw) and I just wanna say that their probably, if not the most impressive trolldier montages on youtube,(babyhood's vids are pretty close) but personally the way you strafe and jump just makes gardening look effortless and I was just kinda curious how you managed to get so good at trolldier (strafing, jump maps etc) and how long it took you to do it. Rlly wanna know as I've been trying to get into trolldier lately after I crafted my mg but have only managed to get like 2 gardens after 5 hours and I can't even garden ppl standing still at this point. So I was just curious if you have any tips for a new jumper getting into trolldier and if I could ask for some jumping help over discord or something. However, it's totally ok if you don't wanna do it and I just wanna tell you to keep up the fire montages and I rlly hope to be at least remotely as good as you at trolldier some day as your skyguy montages are just rlly inspirational :)
Thank you for the kind words. I mean I mainly attribute my skill to my 2.5k hours in the game but a huge resource in my progress with movement specifically was jump maps. All the fundamentals of trolldier can all be practiced in jump maps. I spent probably 200 hours just on jump maps in the game and they are a basis for all the movement I enjoy in tf2 (scout, demo, etc.) There are many community servers running jump academy or various other jump maps and that would be a great place to start. I would be honoured to hop in a vc sometime if you have more nuanced/specific questions or want help progressing in general. Glad the videos are inspirational, your comment was very touching.
retyped my reply like 3 times but yt didn't load it, so imma just leave another comment to boost engagement, so yeah, real grateful for your detailed response but I was just wondering if I could drop a friend req on discord (same as my yt username) and ask for some tips there? getting kinda desperate once my kda started dipping into the decimal points lol
oh sorry my full tag is fluffywalnt2529_65404, I think you might've added someone else, if it's more convenient for you maybe I could just send a friend req to your acc?@@gorf3410
