I have a 2010 Grand Caravan with a not to shabby for OEM 140A alternator, Does a anyone know if the $160 250A alternators on Amazon and eBay are any good?? Yeah there not a high end car audio alternator I'd love to have but there just more money than I can swing, if this 250A amazon one actually does 250A I'd be fine I'm not running 10,000 watts, I'm assuming it prob does but just is lacking in the lower RPMs unlike the car audio ones but they also use smaller pullys, maby there's overdrive pullys for OEM style alternators
Remember, a chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. So, with that being said, ... sure you should get better grip on that new style pulley, what about the drive pulley? & let’s not forget about the belt. Just something to ponder. I have a set of spare belts in my vehicle , because there is nothing worse than cruising down the highway and your check engine light comes on, & your engine over heated because the alternator belt turned into a spaghetti mess that got caught up in the other main belt that turns the water pump. Oh, the pleasures of high powered car stereo.

How does this affect belt life? I run fleet runner gates, the green one, and it seems to grip my 45mm pulley no problem. I have a 7 rib belt however. These obtainable separately?
I really need this for my 160db single alternator Navigator. I've already burnt through two small case 320's. Now I have a large case 390. I really wouldn't mind this pulley on my alternator. I have a Mechman 270 on my Maxima but they don't make them for my Navi anymore.

Which is better to do ? 6 12s or 4 15s if you have around 9 cubes to work with to install either or ?

Too bad Mechman doesn't built an alt for my vehicle but JS does. 390 amps now installed!

Why not run dual alternator?
