Some people ask who is your favourite Nightwish singer? Some people answer "MARKO"! Way more than just a bass player! - "High Hopes", "Wish I Had An Angel", "Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red", "The Islander"..... live is best!
Aww I love the Marko appreciation 🥰 Thank you for your song suggestions, please keep bring them again in my future videos, so they can climb the rank on my bucket list to watch 💕
Marco Heitala has always been a good singer (he's a little older than the rest of the Nightwish): lead singer in his own bands, often a guest singer with others, and winner of a Finnish season of 'The Masked Singer' (the panel didn't guess it was him). Despite his distinctive and (when he wants it to be) gravelly voice, he's also very good at blending and harmonising with other singers.
It's not a break up song, its a "not wanting to grow old/up" song! Troy's instrument is Uilleann Pipes, an Irish bagpipe played with a bellows. His main instrument. And bassist Marko Hietala is also a world class singer, who you'll hear on many Nightwish songs. Floor can (and does!) sing anything from harsh metal growls to sweet sounding vocal to Grand Opera. Her speaking voice is only raspy like that when she's shouting to be heard above a loud audience at a big venue.
Nice reaction, yes Floor can growl at times just emphasises what a vocal beast she is! You seem to like a lot of the artists I like too, I just had to have a look see what you had reacted to before. There’s one Band that I see you’ve not seen yet, it’s a band of three sisters from Monterrey Mexico called The Warning. They started out 10 years ago when they were 9, 12 and 14 when they played a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman (which I see you reacted to about a month ago). Metallica actually congratulated them on their performance and showed it on their social media. In 2022 they did another version of the same song with Alessia Cara the Canadian R&B singer which is the #1 track on Metallica’s Blacklist album (An album of re-imagined covers from the Black album). Last year they played live at the MTV VMAs to an audience that had never even heard of them, it was a legendary performance and the Stage Manager on a hot mic congratulated them on their performance and declared that he was now a fan! Last year they toured Europe with Muse (another band I don’t see here) and this year they toured the World as headlining artists, taking in Wacken and Pol AndRock plus Japan where they had a collaboration with Band-Maid (Another band I didn’t see), this year they were nominated for MTV awards that us fans are awaiting results for! Give them a look see, anything on their UA-cam channel would be good, everything right from their start is fully documented!
Hi Darrell, wow I love your comment, I wish I could frame and highlight it 💖✨ Thank you so much for suggesting TWA and sharing really detailed info about the band. Please keep the suggestion coming - I plan to check out all the suggestions 🥰
Enjoyed your reaction! The chant by the crowd prior to the song was an adaptation of the local football (soccer) chant singing the praises of Nightwish. The cool instrument that you didn't recognize is the Uilleann Pipes, also know as Irish bagpipes. They differ from Scottish Highland Bagpipes in that they use a bellows under the right arm to fill the bag with air instead of blowing into it. It also has different pitched drones so it doesn't sound as screechy as Scottish Bagpipes. Gentleman singing is Marko Hitela and he is a fantastic singer. Perfetly acceptable when asked who your favorite Nightwish singer is to reply Marko!
Aww I love that 🥰 honestly everyone in the band is so talented and I love how fans appreciate each and every one of them Thank you for exploring Nightwish' again on the Q Ship 🤘🎶
Hahaha I noticed that, my first time ever reaction to Nightwish was the 2012 Buenos Aires concert and the crowd was wild 🤣 You can check out my reaction here: ua-cam.com/video/P5rKk6wbelE/v-deo.htmlsi=n0d0VFmFdTpLanWW
Hi Bessy, it's great to see you doing another Nightwish reaction, thank you 😘 For the next song may I recommend "Storytime" from the Wacken 2013 concert? I think that you will love it
You're so welcome Mark, I am making it a tradition to react to Nightwish' often 🥰 Funny you mentioned Storytime haha, because I did react to it here :) ua-cam.com/video/wY6lTUXCzr0/v-deo.htmlsi=PSwx5Ns3pYYlhWBp
@@BessyQ Hi Bessy How did I miss that you have already reacted to Storytime? UA-cam is obviously not giving me my mail because I am subscribed to your channel 🤣🤣🤣 I will enjoy any Nightwish song which you decide to react to. I will be there holding your hand 🥰
You should check out another rock band fronted by a woman: The Warning. They aren’t just fronted by a woman-they're a power trio of three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. They're currently aged 19-24 and formed the band 11 years ago. Their entire journey is on UA-cam, where you can watch them grow up and see how their music has evolved. They just released their 4th album this past June. A great place to start would be their 10th anniversary concert from last October at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. Start with the first track on the setlist, 'Disciple.'
I keep seeing The Warning getting suggested, this band is slowly climbing on my must watch list :) Please keep bringing your song suggestions in my future videos, as they will climb the rank on my bucket list to react to, the more they are suggested 🥰💕
The man on the bass guitar is Marko He left the band in 2020 for personal reasons, and recently he released a really excellent song with the original Nightwish lead vocalist, Tarja, titled "Left On Mars.". You really need to listen to and react to it as the song is excellent! It has an " Old School Rock 'n' Roll" sound...similar to the 1960's to 1970's rock band "Led Zeppelin.". I know because I used to listen to them with my best friend for over 60 years now!!! I love your enthusiasm for Nightwish...and yes...even us guys get " Floorgasms! "
Haha yes the Floorgasm is real!! 🤘 Thank you for your suggestion, duly noted and added to my list! Please keep bringing your song suggestions in my future videos, as they will climb the rank on my bucket list to react to the more they are suggested 🥰💕
Actually, it is not only a duett with Marko and Floor. It‘s a trio. Troy, who plays the Ullean Pipes (Irish Bagpipes), joins them during the refrain several times. Listen closely!
Actually there were three people singing. Floor (obviously), Marko the basist and Troy (the chap playing the Uillean bagpipes) sang some harmony. His voice is softer than the other two, but you can hear him clearly the second time Marko sings.
Floor has multiple stage voices, much like her singing voice. But she was still recovering from being quite ill for this show, so her "Stage General" voice had a bit more rasp than typical, but not much. They recorded several shows for the DVD but this was the best overall performance. A previous show in Bogota has a few vids released and you can see her "at her worst" but that just means she is still better than the rest, just not by as much as usual. She felt bad enough she thought they might need to postpone or cancel, and as a rule they hate doing either unless it is dire. Floor collapsing was about all that brings that about.
Floor is such a trooper and just an AMAZING lady! She is so strong-willed and so devoted to the band, never any excuses even if she's sick... I love her so much 💕💕💕
You didn't hear her normal talking voice, which is soft and calming The song is about wishing to return to the younger age when everything was a cause for tears of joy. Troy plays the Uilleann Pipes, a traditional Irish bagpipe where the bellows are inflated by the elbow not by blowing (Uilleann - Elbow Pipes). Marco is one of the best male vocalists in metal.
Hi again, love seeing all your The Warning suggestions. This band is climbing ranks on my list fast 😄 You could bring in your friends too to join in the suggestions bid? Make it a campaign heheh 🫶

Yes I believe this one was one of those concerts that Floor was feeling under the weather/sick. Learned this from all of the comments that Nightwish Army shared with me here 🥰

Floors talking voice is normally not that raspy, but like when singing she has the ability to add some grit on purpose.
PS: obviously she also was a little sick.
She is so amazing, I love her voice the raspy way as well 🥰💕
not just adding a bit grit, she can also growl easy.
Some people ask who is your favourite Nightwish singer? Some people answer "MARKO"! Way more than just a bass player! - "High Hopes", "Wish I Had An Angel", "Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red", "The Islander"..... live is best!
Yes!! High Hopes is another level of awesome

That whole concert is outstanding. They really bring it and the crowd is insane. "Dead Boys Poem" will put your chin on your chest.
I'm seeing my jaw keeps dropping right now :)) looks like I should react to another song in that concert...

Floor was still recovering from the flu she had 4 days prior in Bogota. Her voice, in general, was a bit raspy still.
Yes, indeed. And I love it!
She's such a trooper and so devoted, never let up even when she's sick, and to deliver such a performance while sick.... Queeen 👑
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 well done again and welcome back
Always so happy to be back 🥰 I am making it a tradition to listen to Nightwish' every month on my channel ✨
Yep, this song is pure fun and energy. And this performance was absolutely great.
I had so much fun watching her and listening to her, and when the Floor + Marko dueting happened, I lost it 🤣
She knows how to get the crowd hyped up! So awesome!
Absolutely, Floor and her queen energy ❤️🔥
