But I get what you mean about none of the people in the movie looking like Hollywood supermodels. I think that was a good decision by the Cohen brothers, to make everything more realistic and homely.

Arguably one of the Coen Brothers' best films, this movie somehow manages to delivered a somewhat quirky dialogues and overly dark premise. Frances McDormand also had a magnetic performance on this as well. She also won an Oscar for this role and is well deserved. I give this a 9.1/10. Overall this is one of the most ICONIC films of the 1990s era. 😊😊👍👍

Coen brothers are best at the "simple plan goes so wrong and destroys every character" plot. And this is the best of them, and also this is my best Coen brothers movie. And also again, this is in my top 10 best movies I ever watched.

I thought this movie was going to be more of a home alone type movie (due to the description I read online), so I was surprised with the overall tone and that first violent scene genuinely shocked me because I genuinely wasn’t expecting it.
Fargo gives you that Napoleon Dynamite feel! It’s such a boring town with boring people that it pulls you in and you want to keep watching lol! All I keep thinking about while watching this movie was I would hate to love there 😂😂. These type of movies also make you wonder what year the movie was based in! It’s like a town that got stuck in the late 80s early 90s and never came out of it! Great review bro!
The writers and directors point was that even normal boring places can have desperate and dangerous people. That this is in some ways like Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. It also was like a gathering blizzard, a storm you can't stop. A man in financial trouble, hair brained scheme to get his father in law to help unknowingly. A unexpected set of consequences that blows the protagonist's scheme apart. He becomes the tragic figure you hate to empathize with because this was a situation of his own making.
I would give Lebowski a 5/5 & no country for old men 5/5 So I’m hoping this will be at least 4 like ya said. Thank you very much for this recommendation review!!!!

Well, I have never been to Minnesota but I am Canadian and although I live on the west coast, some east coast Canadians sound similar hahaha. True Grit is a good one! Haven't seen it in quite a long time!
