  • In this video I compare a 1960 Martin OOO-18 vs our H162 Harmony Baxendale Conversion.
The Harmony has been remanufactured with out proprietary greentech remanufacturing process that turns these old department store guitars into world class sounding and playing guitars. The H162 is the exact same body size and woods as a Martin OOO-18. The Harmony has a longer (25”) scale length making it more of an OM. We took the guitar apart and rebraced it with our proprietary tuned scalloped X design based on a hybrid of 1930’s Gibson and Martin bracing designs.

As for myself, that Harmony Baxendale Conversion is such a pristine guitar. True, the Martin has a nice, deep rich tone (at a very expensive cost), while the Harmony has a brighter, but equally rich tone. I prefer the Baxendale Conversion over that beautiful sounding Martin. Just my opinion though. 💖

Maybe it’s just me listening thru my phone but the Martin has a resonance about it

The Martin is over three times the price of the h162 conversion. $6k vs $1795.00 The point is about the comparison. Try listening through headphones.
