- Agile Management - GitLab-Jira Development Panel Integration
Complementary to our existing Jira project integration, you’re able to integrate GitLab projects with Jira Development Panel. Both can be used simultaneously. This works with self-managed GitLab or GitLab.com integrated with:
Jira hosted by you.
Cloud Jira.
By doing this you can easily access related GitLab merge requests, branches, and commits directly from a Jira issue.
This integration connects all GitLab projects within a top-level group or a personal namespace to projects in the Jira instance. A top-level GitLab group is one that does not have any parent group itself. All the projects of that top-level group, as well as projects of the top-level group’s subgroups nesting down, are connected. Alternatively, you can specify a GitLab personal namespace in the Jira configuration, which will then connect the projects in that personal namespace to Jira.

If you read this in 2023 the Jira DVCS connector has been discontinued already in favor of Gitlab for Jira Cloud App
Looks like DVCS connector is not available in Starter/Free subscription.
should it be possible to create a branch on GitLab from a JIRA ticket when using this integration?
I have error 404 on step "Add new GitHub Enterprise account" - Continue. 3:47. Do you know why it could be?
I have exact the same issue :(
Did you figured out how to solve it?
@@axolotlsystems1085 I believed this feature is only available for Gitlab Enterprise account
Recently we migrated repos from Bitbucket to Gitlab. But how to migrate Jira Development Panel existing Commit links from Bitbucket to Gitlab. I am asking this because my existing commit in Jira development panel still navigates to Bitbucket and not Gitlab.
for me it lists like 100x the commit count which is actually in gitlab and takes like a day to sync. Anything is wrong in the communication inbetween when 100 commits get to 30k as per jira
Same for me here it's looking like (already 100 commits over what is actually in Gitlab).
I noticed that there is a 'builds' tab on the development panel. Does it display the pipeline status?
Is it possible to only get the "Development" panel on the right side as shown at 8:25 without any auto comments or weblinks added to the Jira issue?
Yes, you can turn that off within "integrations" in your project or service template settings
@@Gitlab Sorry. This video has already been outdated as Jira as broken this integration.
@@TheJogvanOlsen Can you be more specific please? I was just going to setup it :)
only 8 comments? Hopefully still working or even more advanced? Im up to setup on 2 selfhostet instances.
why is the gitlab callback url used and not jira? it looks a little strange, the token should be received by jira and not gitlab
