- Taming a defensive or aggressive ball python can be scary, but there is little reason to fear. Ball python make excellent pets and can be tamed with a little consistent effort. By holding a ball python in short, regular sessions they will quickly realize they are in no danger. While it make take a few weeks for them to warm up, our biggest piece of advice is to be patient and pickup up your snake from behind.
